Archmagus

Born at the end of the First war, this elven Archmagus has literally seen it all, blinked, and wanted more. He is one of the most powerful mages in Tamia, and one of only five Archmagus's left in the world. he is the one that found young Raervyn Halloran when the star rock exploded into her chest. He has been at the forefront of battle after battle, and walked the cities during the peaceful years, all to bring the magic to those that can wield it. He worships Syll, Goddess of Magic & Nature , less like a Goddess and more like a lover, calling on her name when he casts the most frightening of spells, usually while smiling. he has long white hair and wears a very worn black longcoat, adorned with buckles and hooks. His sword, The sword named "Chance", sits in its scabbard at his side, and a small single shot black powder pistol is in a holster on his back.

You really shouldn't play with fire...unless you are quite ready to burn everything down around you. Fire doesn't know what a bluff is - Salen, Archmagus.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

though not the most physically intimidating warrior, his lean frame and quick feet make him a dangerous swordsman in any fight. Centuries of training with the slim blades of the elves has won him more duels than magic. His endurance would be his only failing, though he never pushes him self physically knowing this slight flaw

Special abilities

Archmagus level spellcraft. he can actually command all five elements at once at defend against all five at the same time.

Apparel & Accessories

His dark longcoat and pouches are kind of his trademark, as well as the charms he wears on his hightop polished black boots. These charms jingle when he walks, announcing his pressence, but only when he wants them to.

Specialized Equipment

His elven sword, named "Chance", is one of the famed swords of legend and allows him to repeat a failed action once per day. This weapon alters time in such a way that if he misses an attack, or gets shot, he can repeat that and survive.

Personal history

Born while the city his parents called home went up in flames, Salen trained very young to master the elements around him so that no elven child would ever loose his home to war again. He advanced quickly, mastering the elements faster than most and training with various combinations to find more spells. When the Great War came, he was ready. Singlehandedly, Salen saved every village in the forest of S'ren that came under attack, never letting any of them fall. He was against the experiments that created the Psion, and when they turned, he was the first to the front to battle them. The turning point, the The Battle of Albrook, was where he discovered the spell to combat them, but with both the Psions and the Clockwork Assassin against the elves, it was moot. Still the legends of his actions durring the war are sung in most taverns, and every elf grows up dreaming of meeting this enigmatic Archmagus.

Education

Master of spell and sword, with additional training in firearms. He has a degree of Diplomacy from Mystvale, though he really didn't need it.

Salen's Spells
