Swallow's Pride
Swallow's Pride is a dark, dingy bar below the basement of The Buried Hatchet. It has instruments galore and basically operates as an open mic night every night. There are a few distinct areas as it grows: the main stage/bar, the black-box theater, and Dena's quarters.
The entrance is an easily missed doorway at the bottom of a short set of stairs around the back of the Buried Hatchet. There is a heavy wood door with a sliding peephole for a password to enter. The walls inside are bare stone with large wooden beams for support. The ceilings are low and lights are kept minimal. All tables are made from heavy wood and most of the chairs lack any form of cushion. The bar serves mostly drinks from the Buried Hatchet with the addition of coffee and a few select liquors for the regulars. The stage is only raised a few inches from the rest of the room and will eventually have a piano permanently on it. There are a few booths along the back wall and a couple separate rooms for private meetings. The black-box theater is exactly that: a room with walls and floors painted black to serve as a blank canvas for performances.
