The Redclaws

Structure

At the top of the ladder is, of course, Thodoc himself, unofficially titled "chief" of The Redclaws. Thodoc's three wives hold his authority in their hands and all of their orders are expected to be followed as if they were Thodoc himself. Directly under Thodoc are his six captains, former heads of the most powerful clans in the north: Fargus Hyme, male badger moreau formerly chief of the Iron Mantle clan; Dina Whelm, female human formerly chief of the Bidden Fog clan; Uruk Grunmaw, male orc formerly chief of the Bloodtusk clan; Liteau Mord, female elf formerly supreme of the High Elf tribune; Hugar Bulgar, male orc formerly chief of the Tuskan tribe; and Lane France, male werewolf human formerly alpha of the Moonbloods pack. Fargus runs the north Aegion Fort, Dina runs the south Aegion Fort, Lane runs the west Aegion Fort, Uruk runs the east Aegion Fort, Hugar runs security at Zudas Bastion, and Liteau heads the budding political machine of Zudas. Each captain has a vice captain and four lieutenants, each from a different race and clan, so as to encourage diversity and integration.

Culture

The Redclaws are a true melting pot of cultures, as Thodoc has made a point of integrating every one of the clans he conquers into the Redclaw clan. Most of the people The Redclaws have dominated worship some pagan deity or forest spirits. They come from all across the north. Some almost lived as animals while others had villages and technology of their own, and it shows in their varying art styles and fashion choices. Members of the clan are allowed to wear what they please and worship how they will, so long as their loyalties lie with The Redclaws above all others.

Public Agenda

To bring all the north under one banner and form a nation of their own.

History

The Redclaws began as a simple clan in the wilds of the north formed from outcasts and free peoples. One by one, however, other clans were brought in to the fold, often by force, but usually by coercion. People liked Thodoc's ideas, and those who didn't were forcibly vacated from their land so Thodoc could make use of it. Within the span of a decade, The Redclaws become a clan with hundreds of members and, within the decade after that, became a clan of thousands. Most of the people of the north, driven by hopes of a brighter future free of hunger and protected from the cold, had joined with the clan by the mid 230's. There are no known major pockets of resistance left in the north, with only a few cities in the Hellmaw Province, Sorobell, Glaciran, and a select few others not under the Redclaw banner. But those cities have a tacit, informal agreement to stay out of The Redclaws way. The Redclaws founded Zudas Bastion in February of 235, which changed their status from a nomadic tribe to a settlement.
