Born in the Dawn Age, Solas was one of the few Primordials to survive the Chaos Wars. Solas survived by siding with the Divines against Khazmijir, and was granted domain over air as the Elemental Lord after the conflict as recompense. Solas has thrived since the fall of both the Divines and the Primordials as the Elemental Lord of Air, ruling over his section of the realm of Elementium. He, along with all the other Elemental Lords have competed with each other to fulfill Vraekar's challenge and enter the center of the Elemental Vortex.

During the Age of Antiquity Solas found comfort in the arms of one of his closest advisors, a djinn named Aeneros. She bore him the Windwalkers, the last of the genasi to be born in Elementium. After her fall in the Infernal Crusade Solas took a step back, and has not been seen outside of his halls since. He has ceased making pushes into the Vortex since.
