Nephys (Neff-ees)
Lady of the Night, The Jewel of the North
"Nephys is quite the opposite of her younger brother. Fleeting and fickle, she is incapable of taking anything seriously... she needs to be more like Nerys."Alkhaz Dah'nakarA Review of the Great Powers of the Known Realms
Nephys was born in the waning days of the Emerald Age to Tisrendel and Aeoleth Morningstar. Nephys was raised in Evernest with her brother Nerys, and as such was greatly shaped by that realm. Nephys is flowing and beautiful, the goddess of the moon, stars, night, illusion and navigation. All sailors pray to her for guidance on the seas and at night, that they might find their way by her light. Lycanthropes curse her name, for it is her coming in the full moon that brings on the onset of their curse.
Nephys is a fleeting and fickle deity, and often a troublemaker. Nephys has a penchant for pranks that is unmatched by the rest of the divine powers, often at the detriment of her standing amongst them. Despite that, she continues onward, always good for a laugh and a good time. Nephys is a moderately interventionist deity, intervening at her own discretion, on her own terms. She is much more liable to support her followers in a good joke rather than a serious endeavor.
