"There are few references in ancient Zunadar texts to Ixlamatl, the older brother of Kezerok the Sun-Eater and one who was said to have power over the sun. The texts revere him as a great leader of the Zunadar, but as the sky over Ghelebad darkened and the power of Kezerok grew Ixlamatl's strength waned, leaving him a shell of his former self. The texts say that Ixlamatl fell there on that battlefield, leaving Kezerok the sole leader of the Zunadar."

Ixlamatl is a figure shrouded in mystery and myth. The Zunadar did not keep written records until Age of Antiquity, and as such all of the information that has come down to us was recorded thousands of years after the events of his life. The few references we have to Ixlamatl in the ancient Zunadar texts refer to him as the elder brother of Kezerok, a great leader of the Zunadar during The Golden Age, and a powerful being who had control of the sun. We know he fought at his brothers side during the war to free the Zunadar within Ghelebad from under the yoke of the Elder God Eltax, and that when the sun darkened for several days during the great battle that Ixlamatl was greately weakened and fell during the fighting. There is no reference to him ever leaving Ghelebad. 

After this all reference to Ixlamatl is lost, until he was finally discovered by the travelling adventurer Grey Wind and his companions in the Lost Lands on Earedar in 6707 CY. Weakened over millenia of imprisonment, Ixlamatl was unable to take corporeal form and barely cogent. Grey Wind, a young Kitsune, decided to house the weakened god within himself, allowing him to regain his strength. This decision would prove a fatal one. Ixlamatl's fiery spirit could not be contained, and as he regained his full strength he burst forth in an explosion of flame and power that left Grey Wind dead and destruction in it's wake. While little is known of his intentions or purpose, one thing is assured. Ixlamatl has returned.
