Anna is the child of Harlo and Meera Tarroni. She was born on the Isle of Salan at Salani where her family lives. As a child she was a sweet and shy girl but loved the small talk and drama. She was best friends with Lady Lyna Kalkordo. Growing up however, with more and more restrictions on her ladyhood, she grew bitter of her parents, especially her mother, Meera.
At the later age of twenty one, she was married off to Harro Sorralani. She never liked the man, but she did her duty and gave him two children. Harro was highly religious and spent more time praying than he ever did lording or being a husband or even a father. He was obessed with the gods and prayed and prayed until eventually his fasting took his own life. Anna who was once a shy and sweet girl, learned to stop caring about what others wanted and started to take action for herself. When she was approached by Artemio, she was fasinated with the man. He wasn't fanatic or sinisterly dark like Harro's brother, Loreno Blackarrow. After years of having to stay pure and holy for Harro, she was able to let out her inner self.
