This large city was historically ruled by a dynasty of monarchs that changed from time to time as one tyrant was overthrown and replaced by a new king and their cult of personality. The last royal dynasty of Koria was destroyed by Cyrillane when it was conquered 110 years ago. Now free of Cyrillic rule, the city is led by a new king that arose from the ranks of local warlords. However, King Tammaro has made the position a yearly term that is elected by a council along with the Polemarch who heads the army.
Koria is well known as the home of the greatest temples of Demeter and Aphrodite.
