Selene

Selene is the largest known vampire settlement. It is also the residence of the vampire pharoah. Selene is the exonym by which the city is commonly known; among vampires it is called Sepulchre.

Government

Selene is the seat of the vampire pharoah, being led by the vampire pharoah and their council.

Infrastructure

Selene functions in a form of self-preservation. Vampires that act outside of its jurisdiction are seen as rogues, and are mercilessly hunted and killed. In this way, the city has allied itself with many mortal civilizations, trading protection (and not attacking) in return for sacrificial payments in blood, usually from individuals with few connections so that their absence would not be scrutinized too closely.

Architecture

Most of the above-ground buildings in Selene are constructed primarily of black jasper. They are tightly packed in, typically have few windows, and oftentimes lack stairs, as vampires do not require any external light sources and can transform in order to fly to reach higher places.
