The Black Hand

Structure

The Black Hands are divided into two subsections. The Hand which is the organized thieves, money launderers and cartels and the Red Gloved Men which are the assassins and mercenaries. There is one leader of The Black Hand and two leaders for each subsections with numerous other ranks of leadership underneath them.

Culture

The Black Hand is the rich underbelly of many a city and while they are not always the most powerful thieves or assassin's guild in every city or town it is almost certain that at least one or two members hold powerful sway if they are within the reach of The Black Hand. Guards, the law, and many people hate them for they represent corruption and the evil underside of civil society but to those who sway away from the law they are a bastion or opportunity for achieving great success in a way that they otherwise couldn't.

Public Agenda

Performing crimes to generate a large flow of cash or favors as income to bolster the strength of the guild and promote a comfortable life for it's hire ups and retired members.

History

They have existed for quite some time and initially started off as a small guild on the border of the Westlands and Central but as time went on and leadership changed hands they expanded further into Central and after having made a strong foothold for themselves being serviceable to powerful nobles making power grabs have since even had members of the guild be promoted to seats of nobility and have never feared real persecution.

Foreign Relations

The Black Hand holds powerful ties in Central and the Westlands but has weaker ties in the Southlands and Eastlands and has trouble getting foothold in the Northlands.
