The Tower Citadel

Towering over the entire city of Eredet is the Tower Citadel, meeting place of continent and city leadership. It is fittingly named being composed of one large central tower, adorned with architectural and religious imagery from across the continent, and surrounded by 12 slightly smaller towers representing a different region. One tower, however, appears to have crumbled and fallen in on itself. The Tower Citadel is almost a small city in its own right, filled with various amenities to cater to the large number of politicians, military figures, and socialites that live or pass through its many floors.

The Exterior

A large, ornate staircase ascends to an elevated walkway that leads through two of the satellite towers towards the Central Tower. The staircase and plateau are lined with perfectly cut and trimmed hedges, flowers, and trees, which are allowed to flower in the spring and fruit in the fall. Even from the outside, all of the Entrance levels of the satellite spires sport open gardens with archways or clear windows that exhibit and display local fauna. Smaller stairways from various parts of the city connect to the various satellite towers to the city below and/or the wall surrounding the city.

The Central Spire

The Central Spire stands the tallest of them all. It is decorated with pristine crystalline stained glass, buttresses, and ornate extensions of marble and metal that reflect light in a mesmerizing fashion. Despite its ornate appearance, the Central Spire is equipped with arcane sigils, wards, and other means of protection in case of crises. From the central stairwell, one can access the Entrance Level through a massive set of double doors. Composed of mostly stone, the doors have been painted to resemble galaxies and contain gemstones that reflect planets, stars, and other celestial bodies. Amidst this scene is a carving of a pair of hands.

The doors to the Central Spire are almost always left open for people to come and go, but they are always flanked by no fewer than a dozen heavily armored guards. Access to the upper and lower levels of the Tower Citadel are generally much more restricted. The Entrance Level, however, provides easy access to all of the Satellite Spires, allowing tourists and locals alike to move from tower to tower, seeing gardens and other museums and collections.

The Satellite Spires

All of the satellite spires are the same height and general structure, but have been decorated and accented in ways that reflect the various regions of Dremora. Although not as tall as the Central Spire, they still tower over the walls and other buildings of Eredet. The Spires are decorated with the following accents and features:
  1. Ah'Shal's Tower – The bottom of the tower accumulates ash and its bare walls are covered in tick marks. Various stones and plaques line the base: notable members of Ah'Shal and Eredet are buried within. There is the faintest, eerie green glow that emanates from the tower, particularly at night.
  2. Caliban's Tower – The top of the tower has been altered to accommodate a large clock, which chimes at midday, echoing across the entire city. The tower itself rests in a pool of water that has been enchanted to always generate tides. At night, the tower glitters as if covered by stars and the clock face glows, matching the phase of the moon.
  3. Carmenthia's Tower – Native flowers bloom on one side of the tower, painted white with accents of silver and teal. The other side of the tower has been painted black and is devoid of all trace of life. Yet, alcoves have been carved and lanterns glow from this side at night. During the Festival of Lights, the lanterns float, ascending into the sky.
  4. Elis' Tower – The top of the tower spreads outward in an odd display of beams – perches for the people of Elios to land on. The tower itself has been painted to blend in with the sky the further you ascend. The free space on the wall depicts various birds and scenes of aerial hunts.
  5. Judas' Tower –  Perhaps once it stood tall like the others, but it has fallen and crumbled in on itself. If one looks through the rubble at the base, there are the broken remains of what once was a wishing well, a single fleck of gold still painted on it.
  6. Lark's Tower – Statues and sculptural pieces jut out from various locations at every angle, giving the tower an odd, warped looking shape from a distance. Upon closer inspection, the tower provides a progression from "high art" at the top to "low art" – like graffiti – at the base. Some of the pieces are believed to move... like the Sea of Moving Art.
  7. Nacheevi's Tower – There are no projections from this tower that are not perfectly in line with the others. Marble pillars are perfectly spaced, creating a perfect orderly tower. Even the metal pipes - new additions as technology arrives - have been incorporated in such a way as to not disturb the order and balance of the tower's composition.
  8. Oshozi's Tower – Nature has not bee held at bay in any way. The entire tower has been encased with vines and other flora as they continue their ascent up the tower. The only portion exposed is the top of the tower, which features a brilliant white stag statue.
  9. Ragna's Tower – Marble archways line the entire tower in a fashion reminiscent of her Coliseum. Statues of various warriors – some standing rigidly and others bursting through the marble dividers to fight their fellow warriors – line the entire face of the tower. A large fire, representative of the Goddess herself, burns at the top of the tower.
  10. Tel'Rhea's Tower – The style is slightly different, reminiscent of an older, outdated style. Each level features a balcony offshoot containing a small orchard, each featuring a different fruit from the region of Tel'Rhea. The top of the tower has been converted to an open, rooftop garden.
  11. Therarask's Tower – Another tower covered in flora, though intentionally so. Rose bushes and flowering vines have been allowed to crawl up the tower in such a way that the scenes of debauchery are appropriately censored. Amidst these scenes, alcoves depict scenes of Therarask... with their Beloved, a testament to Devotion.
  12. Varoona's Tower – The hull of a massive ship makes up the base of the tower. The hull has been sealed and flooded so that the underwater races of Varoona may enter. The upper levels are decorated with depictions of waves and storns, lightning crashing.

Within the Central Spire

Inside the large entrance doors is a massive entranceway lined with archways and large stained glass windows depicting various religious and historical scenes. The center of the room extends upward through the next two floors and is lined with ornate wooden railings. Around the outside of the entranceway are marble and stone archways that lead to various alcoves. Many are open to the public and include small cafés, restaurants, shops, and small museums or art displays. Others are under heavy guard and kept locked. Access to the stairways is forbidden to all but official Tower Citadel staff. The one working arcane elevator is also under guard.

There are 12 slightly larger archways that line the large entranceway. They lead down small hallways that transition from the general opulence of the Central Tower to the specific style of the approaching satellite tower. Covered, yet open, pathways lead to the entrance levels of the satellite towers and are almost always open to the public. The doors to Judas' tower, however, have been closed. These hallways also lead to ane xternal ring of partly opened walkways that are lined with various flora of Eredet.
Guards are easily visible and present to ensure that members of the public do not attempt to wander where they are not supposed to.
