Dreagasian
From warring zealots to scribes of the deep the people of Dreagasia come in many shapes and sizes, and even larger pool or causes and creeds. While many factions among the Dreagasian disagree and quarrel over a variety of ideals, one thing binds them together....combat! The struggle to survive over another. They commonly glorify combat, though which form of combat is glorious remains disputed.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Appearance: Horns, humanoid facial structure, draconic eyes, claws on hands and feet, wings large enough for flight, and a tail equal to three quarters their height
Height: 7-13 feet
Skeletal Structure: Rather than bones, dreagasians primarily have thick cartilage. Its pliable lightweight nature serves a crucial role in their evolution. Its flexibility allows their bodies to bend a bit before breaking, greatly increasing the impact force needed for a typical femur withstanding forces upwards of 18,000 newtons.
Muscle tissue: Elastic and sinewy allowing for immense strength without being muscle bound, actual strength metrics vary by class.
Nervous system: Highly reflexive, evolved for optimum reaction time and energy conducting abilities.
Lymphatic System: Metabolizes Lactic acid from anaerobic muscle respiration producing cellular energy and vitamin K. This allows them to exist in low oxygen or oxygen free environments without risking death, although, being without oxygen does put great strain on their bodies.
Skin: Thick dragonscale flesh making them resistant to blunt attacks and nigh bullet-proof save for armor piercing rounds. But can be easily cut with blades and sharp objects, this also makes them nigh immune to fire, save for temperatures over 3000 degrees kelvin.
Cardiovascular system: Unlike most reptiles, Dreagasian's are mesotherms, they have the ability to elevate their body temperature with the metabolic production of heat, but have a little control over their particular temperatures when in below freezing temperatures for extended periods of time. When their bodies begin to lose body temperature, rather than increasing their metabolic rate to produce more heat, a Dreagasian metabolic rate begins to slow more and more with the further decrease of temperature. This causes their movements to slow and their judgement could be clouded, this also affects their ability to generate and manipulate the energies of their sphere by over a 50% decrease when in temperatures below 20 degrees Fahrenheit Their lungs are efficient enough to allow them to hold their breath upwards of ten minutes
Fire breath: Two glands on the inside of their mouth connect to two small organs behind their lungs. Each one of these organs produce a different chemical that when these two chemicals combine in the presence of oxygen the reaction causes a massive plume of fire. Each Dreagasian's organs produce a slightly different variation of these two chemicals causing a uniquely colored flame.
Spray metrics:
- Rate of fire: 0.1 Gallons per second
- Effective range: 30 meters
- Maximum range: 50 meters
- Maximum flame diameter: 5 meters
- Maximum volume of corresponding compounds: .5 gallons each.
- Wingspan: 20-25 feet
- Minimum takeoff velocity: 55mph
- Cruising speed: 125mph
- Maximum flight speed: 150mph
- Maximum landing velocity: 35mph
Genetics and Reproduction
Dreagasians have all of the required genes to allow for each Grey to burst into the five subsequent classes. This suggest that there is a deeper cause for the classification of Dreagasians rather than a genetic lineage.
Reproduction: Binary sexual reproduction courtship dependent on cultural norms. Many classes mate for life but do not raise their children. Young are raised by the community as a whole.
Growth Rate & Stages
Egg: naturally, this is an egg.
- Internal gestation period: 8-9 months
- External gestation period: 6-7 months
- Average egg size: 12"x9"
- Minimum temperature: 58 degrees Fahrenheit
- Ideal temperature: 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Maximum temperature: 800 degrees Fahrenheit
- Egg shell: A silicate rich inorganic-organic composite materia formedl by the aggregation of nanoparticles within an organic matrix that arrange in fibre-like polycrystalline configurations. The particle number increases successively and, when critical packing is reached, they merge into early-nacre platelets this makes the eggs very durable able to withstand pressures upwards of 2500lbs
- Age of development: 0-3 years
- Average height at hatching: 1-2 feet
- Average weight at hatching: 35-45lbs
- Age of development: 3-7 years
- Average height: 2-5 feet
- Average weight: 110-200lbs
- Age of development: 7-15 years
- Average height: 5-7 feet
- Average weight: 150-275lbs
- Age of development: 15-35 years
- Average height: 7-15 feet tall
- Average weight: 275-410lbs
- Age of development: 25-years
- Average height: 7-15 feet tall
- Average weight
- Crackling: Small cracks begin to from at the extremities. Overall body temperature increases. Mild skin irritation at cracks
- Shardling: Cracks intensify up the entirety of the Dreagasian limbs beginning to dully glow.
- Brightling: Cracks extend throughout the entirety of the Dreagasians body, they glow brightly and cause the sufferer much pain.
- Novaling: Energy begins rampantly pouring out of the cracks, cellular structure begins to rapidly decay.
Dietary Needs and Habits

Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Sight:
- A dual nictitating membrane is a transparent or translucent third eyelid present in some animals that can be drawn across the eye from the medial canthus to protect and moisten the eye and remove debris while maintaining vision. Both of these layers are polarized to mitigate bright flashes to the eye; layer one drops light transmission to 38%, layer two further dropping light transmission to 14%
- Tetrachromats having four types of color receptors in the eye. These give Dreagasian's the ability to perceive not only the visible range but also ultraviolet light.
- Pupil shape: Vertical slit
- Night Vision: This is achieved by the Dreagasian's having 8 rods per cone in each eye combined with the amount their pupils can dialate.
- Total sight range: 9 kilometers
- Effective sight range: 400 meters
- Detail sight range: 15 meters
- Hearing range: 20-20,000kHz
- Sensitivity range: 1000-8000kHz
