Aquilla, Mistress of the Deep
Aquilla is the Great Dragon of Water, Balance, The Harvest, Piety, Seasons, Justice and Law. Though many outside of her class survive to account for her appearance Aquilla is depicted a serpentine dragon with Azure scales. The length of her form is believed to be enough to circle the globe twice over.
"Gaining an audience with The Mistress Beneath the waves was the most difficult in reaching her throne. As a Zenon I do not possess the gills of my aquatic brethren. For a few extra spare coins, and a savvy tongue a traveler can find passage to Mythseria. Aquilla's subaquatic utopia. Though she had colonies on the mainland these are more treated as frontier outposts to the Aquillian people. One thing the Aquilla had over any other realm I have visited is food. They have such an abundance down here in dark depths. Hyper Nutritious mycobacteria, thick kelp and coral farms. Most glorious of all was the Crystalline Citadel in the center. Entering I was met with a wall of ever flowing water. I never did get to grace my eyes with the beauty of the Maiden of the Deep but she did offer me her account of history…for a price.
"A tale for a tale, pilgrim." her voice bubbled from seemingly every drop of water around him. "And no tales of my brothers, I'm in most of them. I seek tales of you."
Overall my engagement with Aquilla was brief, and she willingly parted with her knowledge as her price was met. Perhaps she is lonely down in the dark deep, seeking the variety that we experience on the surface."
"The Pilgrimage of Virnest"
Aquilla seeks to balance the conflicts of her brethren and is the only deity to not outwardly glorify combat. Though she does find appreciable ways it should be performed. It was her mastery that split the continent in two in order to separate the cataclysmic clash of Terrano and Pyrros on such a regular basis. She is vital for the changing of seasons and the harvest by how much water she grants to Zenon to release from the sky. It was Aquilla who introduced the concept of court and law to the Dreagasians. Refuting her eldest brother's "might is right" philosophies.
Aquilla's capital of Mythseria is located deep beneath the surface on a large bay on the northernmost region of the continent of Yt'rien. While her numerous coastal installations assert her dominance over the rolling green plains leading to the Zar'een desert.
