This does not mean they are free of violence, as brawls, and other tests of strength are commonplace. They are quicker to meet one with their wit rather than their sword, quick to word play and often speak in rhyme when insulting or challenging another. They all hope to one day be nothing more than a good story.

Coming of Age Rites
Trial of the large sphere:
Upon bursting as a new Terranian one will set out for the Sa'reen desert, what will be your new homeland. In every settlement within Terrano's lands is stone sphere, always the exact same size, and always the exact same weight. Measuring eight feet in diameter and weighing nine hundred pounds any new Terranian to attempt to join any clan or settlement must lift this stone. Lifting the stone shows their physical strength, that their presence amongst them will not weaken the clan. Lifting the stone shows their solidarity, lifting a scale version of the world as Terrano holds up the ground beneath their feet.
Trial of the small sphere:
To begin the Burstborne will travel to Zar'hesh to an ancient proving ground. Here is a large circular chamber divided by a casm. On the side of the trial partaker, is a flat stone obelisk, on the other is a grooved track that curves upwards to an elevated platform. Here the Burstborn will place their back against the obelisk, as countless have done before outstretching both hands before them. Atop the elevated platform an adult Terranian will hold a small sphere, roughly eight inches in diameter. The elder will send this ball sailing down the grooved track with both physical strength and added Kinetic Energy as to launch off of the track towards the Burstborne with immense force. The Burstborne must then stop this incoming projectile using only their current mastery over Kinetic Energy allowing it to rest peacefully into their outstretched palm. Too little force and the sphere can and will kill the adolescent. To much force and the ball will be obliterated. Success is shown when the force of the sphere is met with an equal strength Kinetic energy wave both energies are dissapated in a violent vertical shockwave. This ritual being repeated over and over and over throughout the generations has created the deep abyssal chasm between the platforms, said to hold the souls of those who failed.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Low class: A compressed stone bead, size symbolizing their importance or achievements are added to chains present in family households. Each Terranian begins making their own chain as a young Grey, or whenever they experience their first personal death, and will keep it in their possessions throughout their life, often adding beads for not just family, but deeply revered friends, mentors, and idols. Initially the beads are worn as rosary around their right wrist and arm. Once the chain becomes too cumbersome to carry the Terranian will ensure a safe place to keep it.
Middle class: Being of a higher society, middle class Terranians have much large residencies carved into the stone. In the walls of this residence they will engrave an egg shaped effigy each standing roughly 1 meter tall with an elegantly carved nesting. It will closely resemble their departed, and will have inscribtions detailing their life scattered amongst their armor and weapon leaving the face unmarked.
