Tirúas
Tírúas1 are glyptodont-like herbivorous mammals found on the Plain of Kings in eastern Dragonía, particularly the western and southern regions.
Basic Information
Anatomy
About the size of a sheep, their back and sides are protected by a tough shell, rows of smaller plates covering the tail and upper parts of their legs. The shell and plates are brown, while the exposed part of the body are covered in short, light brown fur.
Dietary Needs and Habits
Tírúas eat virtually any grasses or other plants they can get, and wild ones can cause serious damage if they wander into gardens or fields.
Additional Information
Uses, Products & Exploitation
The Mörkels inhabiting the Plain of Kings domesticated tírúas early in their history, and keep them for their meat (though it's considered an acquired taste) and especially shells, which are fashioned into shields and armour as a cheaper alternative to bronze.
Þrihaks on the southern edge of the Plain of Kings sometimes hunt tírúas as well.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
