Sjáná
Hritt: Sjáná /ʃauːnauː/
Nartasic: Sáná /sauːnau/
Sjáná is a country in the northern Sjorg Desert in southwestern Dragonía, encompassing the southern shore of Hegal, the largest of the five lakes in the region, while the northern part is ruled by the city-state of Pattra. The Sjánans and Pattrans are both Krekkúxes, Gobíl tribes who are native to the desert and in case of the sjánans were enslaved by the Óraxes for millennia before establishing their own state some eight centuries ago after the Órax Empire collapsed.
Hágúx, the country's capital, is built on the ruins of Tóxerp, once an Órax outpost to keep an eye on the pattrans and for a time one of their northernmost city.
Sjáná is currently one of the most powerful Krekkúxan countries along with Pattra and Nar-Tasí to the east, engaging in both trading -aided by the widespread use of hritt, language of the sjánans- and warring with neighbouring groups to acquire goods and prestige. Unlike most Krekkúxan countries, Sjána is ruled by an oligarchy of the heads of the most powerful families rather than a monarchy.
