Ebism
Ebism is a branch of traditional Útel religion with limited following, founded around 2000 b.Dr. Ebists believe that the ancestors have a hierarchy based on their own actions in life, which dictates how worthy they are of worship. At the top are Ela'k, Zynai and founders of the individual castes, while those who committed serious crimes reside at the bottom of the hierarchy. However, one can move an ancestor up the ranks with prayers and honest living, both of which also increase ones own chance of a higher stature in the afterlife.
While relatively obscure and limited to Ela'k Forest today, ebism was widespread among the ancient Móerkels, and together with the Cult of Zerrhúai formed the basis of their unique faith, as well as what eventually became Mörkel and Þrihak polytheism.
