The gods of the
Dragon Marches are said to have abandoned the world at the resolution of the
Cataclysm, and in the greatest city in this or any age,
Drakkenfall, temples and centers of faith are few. They have retreated further into the unknown, leaving no trace of their path or new chapters behind. Nevertheless, small miracles occur across the world. Long-lived peoples remember the worship and presence of the gods and see their shapes in nature and the constellations above. Ancient, forgotten sanctuaries hold wonders beyond imagination, and divine whispers reach those with the minds and hearts to listen. The gods haven’t wholly abandoned the world, and as threats grow, mortals turn to them once more—thus the gods patiently watch their creations from beyond the veil, lending what small power they can send from their faithless worship to aid the goals of the faithful.

The Malign
The Betrayer Gods are deities who've gone against the ideals of the Eight, either ascending to godhood to challenge them or falling from their grace into the dark section of the pantheon. The Betrayer Gods rarely work together, since they see each other as threats to their own plots and goals, and have only done so on one account during the beginning of the Cataclysm.
