Oreston
The great, bronze doors of Oreston guard its westward entrance and serve as a major trade thoroughfare. The proverbial second city of the mountain dwarves, Oreston is still rich and powerful, at least locally. Its mines are productive and its smiths skilled, making the hall one of the primary exporters of coveted dwarven metal and gemwork. Though it possesses fewer gold and silver veins than its northern counterpart, copper, tin, iron, platinum, and even deposits of quicksilver can be found within its domain. Though bronze has fallen out of fashion amoung the lord and knights of Miridia, it still makes fine tools and arrowheads for the common folk.
The city is ruled by its Thane of the Bronzehall Clan. Again playing second fiddle to their neighbors in Goldwight, they family is still plenty rich, powerful, and proud. The current Thane, young Frey Bronzehall is known for being bright and ambitious, though her political reforms are not always exceedingly popular with her rivals, rivals who might already baulk at taking orders from one they deem so inexperienced.
