Jeoffrey was formerly the Duke of Silverspire, right hand man to the silver dragon, Argostan. By all accounts he was a fair and capable leader and administrator. His time in power was primarily marked by peace, plenty, and prosperity for the kingdoms of the Empire. So it came as a great surprise to most when he announced he was retiring, handing over the reins of power to his daughter, the now Dutchess Serena, and moving across the sea to finish out his life with the Nimbus Monks. While those close to the family already knew of the young lady Serena’s brilliance, the public at large was understandably skeptical. After the transfer of power, the now ex-duke boarded a northbound ship and has not been seen or heard from since. What could have motivated this sudden move? Did he simply believe Serena was ready? Was he tired of the burdens of leadership? Or was something more nefarious afoot?
