It cannot be easy being the younger sibling of a famous prodigy turned ruler of at least your immediate world. Lady Margery has grown up in her sister’s shadow, never seemingly quite as accomplished at anything. At least that was the case until she came of age. While Dutchess Serena is certainly not bad looking, her preferred dress and styling choices do not always align with the social norms of a noble lady. Margery, on the other hand, loves the fancy dresses, opulent jewelry, and rigamarole of state dinners. Serena may command war rooms and meetings of state, but it is Margery who holds everyone’s attention at feasts and balls. She would have been the more desirable noble lady of the court even before her sister assigned her the duty of producing an heir to carry on the family legacy. What is more it is Serena, not her, who will be picking the lord to become her husband and father of her children. Does the “Silver Rose” agree to her assigned station and role, or does she feel more like a broodmare?
