General Summary

In his prison cell Alok Ravaralei receives another visitor. It is Falkrunn Rumnaheim, the Baron of Allgringthveit who admits to him that Bali has a hold on her. She is unwilling to go into more detail. Not far away the rest of the party fight their way through more undead to find a freshly excavated tunnel that connects them to the back of the Baron's prison. They arrive just in time to find Bali and his ghouls trying to make off with Alok. A fight ensues and when it looks like Bali is going to lose he unleashes a poison gas cloud to buy time for his escape. This cloud takes out not only his ghouls, some of the Baron's guards and Striker. But it certainly buys Bali the time he needs to escape. The party is, however, able to revive Alok who had been electrocuted by Bali a second time for trying to resist. Restored to all his possessions (except his hawk and one finger) Alok is able to rejoin the party who must decide if they are to continue their quest to find part of the ritual described in Wishart's Palimpsest or pursue Bali.
