Very little is known about Videre Tempor. No one knows his age, birth place, or history before coming to work in the great libraries. Some have theorized that he was hand selected by the Strix, The God Of Knowledge to perform this task. Others think that he might actually be an offspring of the god. Perhaps he is an immortal fated or cursed to do this job for ever. When the elders of the city are asked about his time here, they all say the same thing. "He has always been here, as far back as we can remember".
