Realm

Strix, resides in a unique and expansive divine realm known as The Archive of Eternity. This plane exists beyond the mortal world, and it is intricately connected to all forms of knowledge gathered across time and space.   The archive is a vast, endless library that transcends physical dimensions. It is both a repository and a living manifestation of all knowledge. The realm stretches infinitely, with towering shelves filled with innumerable books, scrolls, and artifacts that contain the secrets of the universe.   Its architecture here combines elements of the grand ancient libraries, with mystical, ever-changing structures. The shelves and halls rearrange themselves according to the needs of its users, adapting and evolving constantly. Ethereal light filters through high stained-glass windows, illuminating the texts and casting colorful patterns on the polished marble floors.   While primarily the domain of Strix, the plane is occasionally accessible to mortal scholars and seekers deemed worthy by Strix himself. These individuals are granted temporary entry to pursue specific knowledge or to receive divine insight. The realm is also inhabited by celestial librarians, beings invited by Strix to maintain the archives, assist seekers, and ensure that the knowledge is preserved and organized.   More than just a store of knowledge, the archive is a living entity that grows and learns. It absorbs information from all realities and timelines, often directly from events as they unfold. This makes it a dynamic and ever expanding realm, reflecting Strix’s belief in the endless pursuit of knowledge.   Finally this celestial realm serves as both the heart of Strix’s power and a symbol of his role as the God of Knowledge. It underscores the essential themes of learning and the preservation of wisdom, embodying the divine mandate of Strix and his followers in Domen Aria.

It’s said to be guided by Strix’s hand, and occasionally, new lands or stars appear on the globe just as they are discovered by explorers.   The Mirror of Past Visions: In a rare act of creation rather than concealment, Shadowmaster Grehn fashioned this magical mirror. This mirror allows the user to look into the past, viewing historical events as they unfolded. While its use is strictly regulated by the Order of the Obscured Eye, it serves as a tool for learning from history directly, albeit under heavy restrictions to prevent misuse.   The Scrolls of Everlore: These scrolls are written on a mystical parchment that resists aging, fire, and water. Cults & Opponents Of Strix:

The Order of the Obscured Eye: This secretive cult believes that some knowledge is too dangerous or powerful for the world and should be hidden away or destroyed. They often find themselves at odds with the followers of Strix, who advocate for the accessibility and preservation of all knowledge. The Order of the Obscured Eye operates in the shadows, seeking to intercept and obscure texts and artifacts they deem too perilous.   The Censors of the Final Word: A more radical faction that not only seeks to control the flow of knowledge but also believes in the destruction of heretical texts and the punishment of those who pursue forbidden knowledge. They view Strix’s open pursuit and preservation of all knowledge as a direct threat to the world's safety and moral fabric.

Neutral or Allied Groups:

The Guild of Star Seekers: While not directly affiliated with the worship of Strix, this guild of astronomers and explorers shares the god’s values of seeking knowledge and understanding the universe. Rumors:

Avatar Walks Among Us: There are whispers that Strix occasionally takes a mortal form to walk among his followers, observing and interacting with them to better understand their struggles and achievements. This secret library is said to be accessible only to Strix and a select few of his most trusted followers, guarded against those who might misuse its contents.   Source of His Divinity: Some believe that Strix was once a mortal who achieved divinity through the acquisition of ultimate knowledge. This legend suggests that there exists a singular, ultimate piece of knowledge that can grant divine power, and that Strix guards this secret closely, preventing others from attaining the same godhood.   Lover of a Mortal: A romantic rumor tells of Strix falling in love with a mortal scholar. Overwhelmed by her intellect and dedication to knowledge, he is said to have bestowed upon her immortality so that they could explore the mysteries of the universe together. This tale is often told as an example of Strix’s passion for knowledge and those who seek it earnestly.   Predictor of the Apocalypse: A darker rumor suggests that Strix knows the exact details and timing of an event that could end the world or radically transform it. According to whispers, he works tirelessly to prepare for or prevent this apocalypse, collecting and hiding away knowledge that is crucial for the survival of Domen Aria. Others counter that Strix has already failed at this and the tragic event has already come to pass.   Cursed Texts: Some say that Strix has cursed several ancient texts so that only the worthy can read them without suffering madness or misfortune. These texts are rumored to hold incredible insights into the nature of the universe but are guarded by spells that deter the unworthy.   Magic Abandonment: Tales suggest that the weight of all of the universes ever expanding knowledge and the ramifications of rampant magic use has become too much for Strix to endure. These demands and responsibilities are hindering his main focus on recording history and as such, he secretly wants to leave the domain of magic for someone else to deal with.
"Knowledge is like fire under the watch of Strix, it can illuminate or consume. Choose wisely what you ignite."
