The Black Reach.
A slowly expanding, fetid swamp that gives rise to undead and diseased creatures. Magical is slowly draining the life force (positive energy) from the land, flora, and fauna of the area.
Slowly causing intelligent creatures (lizard folk) to migrate to edges where may come into conflict with villages.

Geography

Slow moving meandering river of black discolored water surrounded by swamps and shallow pools. Flat land some distance away from the nearest mountains. Nearest settlements at least a day away.

Fauna & Flora

Diseased, mutated, and undead swamp plants and animals.
Creatures living here are slowly transformed into undead.

Natural Resources

Predominant decay gives rise to numerous fungi and decomposers with a twist.
Metals do not last long.
