Nikolai Wachter Sr is married to Fiona Wachter. Nikolai had to give up his name and any personal holdings to marry into the Wachter family which is Matriarchal. Nikolai was known to be a loving father to those in the community. Nikolai has not been seen in Vallaki for some time and Nikolai and Fiona have not been attending the Vallaki festivals of late. Fiona Wachter publicly has said she has been caring for him while he has been very ill.
The party discovered Nikolai's dead body in bed inside the Wachterhaus master bedroom. Nikolai jr and Karl appeared to be unware he was dead.
