Military action

The Lati Xoffe led the armies of Castelan Ward out into the Aphes Valley, seeking to subjugate the states there.

The Lati Xoffe of Castelan Ward, appointed "Guardian of the Lands Beyond" by the previous Imperator, led their army--3000 soldiers made up of one Cohort, the other 2840 being peasant levies-- into the Uxcelesch plain, razing everything they found to the ground. After pillaging and looting everything they could, Xoffe began to siege the city of Uxcelesch. 

Being kind of an idiot, Xoffe had not brought siege equipment, expecting the cities of the Aphes Valley to surrender after destroying their countryside. Realizing that they would not, having dealt with nomadic raiders for centuries, the Lati intended to starve them out, blockading the city. This gave the Baron of Uxcelesch time to appeal to the Akroni Confederacy who mustered their armies in the Valley's defence.
