At a particularly low point in his life Than, the Last Titan of Urgrund was met by a future version of himself, later known as the Mad Titan, and was given a chance to travel forward in time to collect two Godfather Gems. Than, the Last Titan of Urgrund, believing himself a godslayer, would eventually return to this time using the Time Gem to continue his life and begin building his Dark Order.
