Garm Pavond (/ɡɑːm ˈpæ.vɒnd/)
Very little is known about Garm at this time. He travels with Relia and F2C2G2, is a devout Ashla follower. He was seen with Relia and then later the party was told to not assist him.
There is also a Dead body near the party. No one recognizes the priest. General acolyte robe, no discernable religion. They try to see if they can hear the conversation. Seems like a trade Garm: "I have what you asked for..." the other one is hard to understand as he speaks with a gravely voice: "...we have had this artifact for a long time and its nice to see its value finally coming to help us..." He pulls out something from a bag and hands to garm, you see Garm has the Metal encased arm and he hands it over. the party whispers... stop him? follow him? shadow: "do we do this now? I can..."
A miss on Barlo. Sas' spores attack Garm as he moves towards her, he then hits (nat 20)at this point the characters have all seemed to notice something is trying to happen at such high and low peaks of their life lately...
Barlo then says to Garm: "hey - we don't need to kill you over this, we can talk about this. You really fucked up when you did what you did on our ship."
Garm looks at him "I got what I needed out of this, he's got your hand. I don't have anything else you want."
Shadow: "That remains to be seen."
Garm disengages from the Hyena and goes into a protective defense stat. Then a Mimic does the same.
Hyena goes to attack and misses. (got a 1 then a 9)
Other Mimic looks to Garm, then the others and steps back with himself also going into defensive mode.
Bastion gets more healing. He then attacks and then two True Strike attacks.
An attack from Garm who was just hit by Bastion, it seems he didn't like being hit, but it seems all th estrikes miss. Bastion says: "You aint going nowhere until you explain what's going on."
He looks at Bastion "I came to get one thing and I have it. It has no regards to you all. If you want the hand, that's the guy who has it."
Shadow: "We know!"
Bastion: "That wasn't what I said."
The cultist leader looks to Garm "What the fuck, pal?!" He strikes out twice and misses.
Garm: "If it is answers you want, I will gladly give those." stares at bastion with his sword brought up at him "shall i stop?" Bastion: "Tell us what you got and what you plan to do with it." Garm disengages, steps back and puts the sword up again in a defensive pose. the first Mimic does the same. Sas holds Mimic holds Bastion is getting a bit impatient for answers... looks around and sees that the conflict is done. He moves to block his path. Bastion tells him to put his sword away. Garm has the Light go down, and puts it on his belt... Garm: "So, we will talk." Shadow is keeping her bow ready.
As you enter the secluded grove, you spot a figure standing in the dappled sunlight, wearing a simple brown cloak and a wooden Mask. His presence exudes a serene tranquility, but his piercing gaze tells of untold inner turmoil. This is Garm Pavond, a D'Jedi Knight of Ashla, dedicated to protecting the balance of The Weave.
In Session 63: Crossing the Streams Report the party learned that he is a Plasmoid.

Session 44: Purple Worm and Falling Baseboards Report
Another voice, a female. The twins and Remington pulls their weapons. A beautiful blue skinned Eladrin in a long brown robe, with a humanoid wearing a "wood mask" and a brown cloak along with a barrel on a wheel comes up. They said they were aware of an item they were seeking being here. Relia , Garm, and F2C2G2 . She is a winter Eladrin , Fey elves aligned with seasons. They were looking for a chair that was once here. It was on a convoy. Jeets says there are a bunch of carts and stuff which were highjacked in the back.Session 45: Back to the Keep Report
She sees that that Garm Pavond is meditating about a foot off the ground. Relia is just finishing some food when she wipes up and gets up to meet the party. "So I take it you had a chance to decide how we could Aid you and earn our chair back?" Shadow: You said you look for these Bogan, those who pervert The Weave. Relia: yes. but there are not really any Bogan here, on your planet. It is nearly impossible for them to get here. Shadow: Can you also find people who are not Bogan, that are manipulating magic? Relia: I'm sure that we can I mean, with that is one of the things that we do is look for certain types of people. Shadow: Because that's what we need help with. Relia: We have no problem with that. I mean, we've already been marooned on this planet for some time now. And to be fair, I mean, there have been other things that we've been able to do that are beneficial to our order here. So it's not pretty much as it stands, as we kind of follow where The Weave takes us. And it seems that this is where it wants us to go... I don't really know fully how all of it connected, but. There are often connections that you don't really notice until the end. Barlo starts speaking about how he thinks someone is attempting to become Bogan. Shadow tries to talk about Jacoby. Barlo thinks Jacoby is trying to either become a Bogan or contact them. Shadow brings up the Simulacrum, and Relia says he must be working with the Arcane Order -- Shadow says he is also working with the Bloodhand Orcs. Jeets: "Honestly, I think some of those were just to research for their Crafting as those were some of the early ones. Then there was another item which sounded Weird -- the Decahedron of Doom Barlo: "That sounds cool Jeets: "We couldn't find that one. We thought we were getting close, in fact, when we all saw Jeets last we were under the impression he had it with him. But we didn't find that there at the keep. The last two -- (and he looks at Calliope Galanodel) -- one was called a Weave Weapon and the other one was an Astronomer's Orrery. As I said, the Decahedron should have been with Jacoby at River's Keep, but we did learn where teh Weave Weapon and Astronomer's Orrery could be found -- but we haven't told Ursa, as we believe your mother is in possesion of both those items (to calliope) Jeets: "In fact, also her companion, Garm Pavond, has both items as they are standard for their people. We did some research into their little "order", the space cult. Once we learned of their connection to you, we didn't want to really get into it with them. We did learn of an organization where more could be had. Which is why Ursa had us let it go on those hunts as they Work with governments and with the fame of the facility she was granted access. Those are some of the main things that she had us look for. Granted some of them are for research purposes, but who knows. I know some of them, like the cloak and bracers, they are able to craft now.Session 63: Crossing the Streams Report
they slowly sail out, and the passengers are at the table. Nissa Silverfrond Yggdra 2 gnomes Balabar Sprocket & Dipple Sprocket Garm Pavond The party gets to know them all. Shadow talks to Nissa. They talk about how Yggdra comes from a cult working to end the world. She was supposed to be a weapon, and she left with a powerful artifact. She died, they brought her back and replaced her hand with this relic. It is cursed, so they are trying to remove it without killing her. The cult is looking for them. Garm goes to the front mast and sits down. Barlo pays a lot of attention to him, and at one moment as Garm sits down and before he begins to Levitate he sees something... then Barlo (and the rest) go up to look back at the harbor. you notice some parts of his hidden "body" as he adjusts his robes you see it seems to have an almost transparent purplie/blue quality(sic...)
Barlo points out the strangeness of garm to Bastion. They ask if he ever lost his trance. They discuss what just happened, and the guy.
The Wood Mask opens into a circle and air comes out "what?"
he says the trance is different, he is 75 years old, discusses how he and Relia crashed here long ago.
The Mask seems a part of him. it is kind of fake Wood it seems. he says he is a Plasmoid.
Barlo goes a head a bit on the broom.
Session 64: Fighting Pollution Report
note: they are over water, with small islands on occassion. Barlo yells for the captain to take the ship down. Garm Pavond stood up, posed and pulls out a stick from belt. It lights up, glowing point...Session 70: Exploding Fire Skeletons Report
They see an "outhouse" to the side of the road, and board the ship and the Drow Night Captain, NTO She notifies the party that Garm Pavond attacked Yggdra in her Sleep, cutting of her hand and then leaping overboard. This is the hand of an apprentice to Venca from this realm who had some safeguard to bring him back should he die. Discussion of plans. The gnomes have set up a little building on the island, and still plan to stay here. They learn his weapon was a rapier of "light" that cautarized the cut as it cut off her hand. There was some damage on the ship as the Dragonborn breathed fire on him. Bastion suggests they go after him. No one knows where he is or where to start. They know they have a deliver to do and if the two adventurers plan to learn more about garm at Thornwinds. a bit of tabletalk about Relia & Garm Pavond. When Relia apologized, She had said she doesn't trust him and should not get the Spelljamming Helm. Ashla hunting down Bogan. Bastion wanted to send a Message to Remington. But that seemed to be overlooked...(sic...)
Shadow asked about Jacoby. There were Notes on Spell Weaver Experiment about another experiment, a six-armed creature he sought to take powers from -- it failed in some way. He used an Orb of Mystara to take the regenerative properties and long life from this creature... It might be since the creature had already done 6 splits.
He was studying the Dragon Prophecies , including ideas to use the orbs for... one he felt might hold promise was to find an "empty" orb, one where the orb still held together but the realm had gone pass it's point of singularity somehow... the WIP: Orb of Athas. He would Teleport the Dragon into that world.
Yggdra doesn't understand much of this. She wants to get to Thornwinds to see if she can find Garm Pavond 's trail.

Session 72: Dark Knights in Thornwinds Report
The two adventurers, Yggdra & Nissa Silverfrond have, at some point, notified Sas W.T. Rayce & Shadow in the Snow that there are rumors of someone matching the description of Garm Pavond in the area. The reports make it seem as if there are multiple versions or people similar to him in multiple places.(sic...)
Barlo thinks about connecting with the Road...
asks the party about the rumors of Garm and how they might try to help retrieve the arm. When they had touched base the others said there were stories he might be in multiple places...
She goes to Flynt and describes him. He says he heard about him from two ladies. seems they were around Bone Arch which leads towards the cemetaries. Not as old as Old town, but still a slum... the ladies were the two adventurers.
He learned from them that garm is in the area to the south.
the party looks to whether they think he wants to pawn it or use it. They had learned that the hand was a cursed relic from the apprentice of Vecna. Yggdra was to be a great weapon for this cult. They found her Dead and used the arm to bring her back from the Dead. She escaped and has been trying to learn more of the cult.

She walks around... she sees various rooms, massive library with people taking copious notes. A room with curtains drawn, dark. young female sitting crosslegged with various instruments around her floating, she struggles with a lute that won't float and play like the others. she winces.

The robes are black, but similar in cut and style to what Garm Pavond & Relia wear.
Calliope moves on. Sees a Human gentleman playing a lyre and he is dropping notes-- he keeps struggling.

He goes to the Dock and finds the harbor master to handle the selling of art. It is suggested to go to the "Port Authority", a Halfling at a kiosk.
Barlo looks for the Symblo of the road... he sees it at the PA. Brings up the artwork. then says how he is looking for Garm, brings up what he looks like.

everyone is at a table. He tells the party about Garm, his buddies, a new Drow person wearing similar garmants. Drow are rare, but a handful can be found in such a port place.
He tells them how Vyerith was who he was supposed to transport. There are others who are upset with Garm, and want Barlo to handle this.
now to Nissa & Yggdra...
This makes sense, seems there are others and not just him. He brings up The Howling Gale, they had checked it out-- found nothing.
Calliope had seen the Elf at the Bard's guild. discussion on what to do... suggests not doing it in the guild. Nissa suggests going to the Bone Arch. They discuss staking out The Howling Gale.
(there was a discussion about male/female. I realize I also forgot a bit since there was 3 characters at the Bard college and so we decided she was a bit adrogenous in their features with a cloak and long hair it could be hard to totally tell).
They head out, past the castle and nice homes/businesses to the Gate... as it is night the guards warn them. Outside of the gates the law means less than it does in the gates.
The Howling Gale is in the Wine Gate. It gets a bit nicer in this area.
only a few people in here, seems the nautical bits are of the original place... He is reading Barlo asks if he is Franz and tells him the password.
He puts the book down and looks around. Says he will just take Barlo, to the office ensures no one followed.
Reed told him to come here. He is lookign for Garm.
He already talked to Reed. They are staying at an old church on the outskirts of town. He hadn't seen much of the Drow, probably was their connection in the gates.
Past a hill. It used to be where they buried the Dead. Kept coming back. so they abandoned it. Only visit when they need to handle the Dead.
The wall of non believers is briefly brought up.
Barlo gives him money.

Session 073: Cultists Under the Church Report
Bastion asks why they are there. The others said to investigate the church, rumor was Garm was here and the City folk complained of the undead here.(sic...)
As it gets to the end they see it opens into a large room.
large pillars, some destroyed. Old room. Old ceremonial sarcophagis.
They sneak in, hugging a wall to the left of the passage. To the other side is some ornate runic design on the ground. A handful of individuals.
Garm is talking to someone. Some individuals in black cloaks, one is talking to Garm. Garm has two in brown cloaks who look like they are made of chrome looking like him. Similar to the Metallic Mimic they met before. There is also a Dead body near the party. No one recognizes the priest. General acolyte robe, no discernable religion. The party isn't sure how violent they should be...
Barlo: "Garm, you son-of-a-bitch -- you have some explaining to do. Start talking before we wipe everyone out."
Shadow moves out, "Don't move and you don't get hurt". Holds her action.

Garm leaps as far as he can, which is enough to get out of the brambles -- he seemed to have done something before he did so, not a spell, but some other feature. He pulls out a rod, off his belt and it has a glowing rapier point come out of it.
Sas moves, casts Chill Touch which connects.
Another one leaps out and pulls out his blade.
Bastion moves forward. Scorching Ray (at 6th level) 3 on Garm and 3 on ..., hoping to Knock out Garm, not kill...
NOTES on Nonlethal Damage I was going to let him try to do an Arcana Check to see if he could control it, and I will allow that moving forward if it comes up. Just as I will allow a DC check for ranged attacks.
As the rays come in you see some force avoid the energies. Garm gets hit only on the last one.
The Leader of the cultist can't do the cool Jump thing, but he still attempts after seeing the others do it. Then sprints, taking damage... He does the same thing to his scimitar as he pulls it out..

Shadow pulls off a bead from the Necklace of Fireballs and throws it. All the cultists hit take damage, but not so much for Garm and the two mimics--they move in ways to avoid the bulk of the damage. She then uses BA to cast Hunter's Mark on Garm (at 3rd level, 8 hours), which drops the Spike Growth. Barlo pulls off his Animated Shield, Rages, then moves forward as he looks at Garm saying: "hey, we don't have to do this. We can talk! Tell us what the fuck is going on here.." And he attacks the cultist. Not reckless as many are around... HIT. HIT. he is hurting... off-hand hits... Non-chalantly as he is trying to taunt/intimidate Garm. One cultist attacks and misses. Garm attacks Bastion, 3 times.(sic...)
Bastion uses his Blade Ward song. Then attacks with Steel Wind Strike, the first one takes down a cultist. Hits a second. But misses Garm. He returns to his original spot. Tells Shadow: Throw me a Potion!

Shadow casts Healing Spirit at Bastion. A transparent Owlbear appears. So she then shoots at Garm 2x with the bow. The first one strikes (damage 22, and swarm attempts to shift him- he succeeds), second attack hits (29). She then doubles her speed with the feline agility. Barlo passes his saving throw (natural 20, 12) He feels his tail twitch and he is able to move.A miss on Barlo. Sas' spores attack Garm as he moves towards her, he then hits (nat 20)
