Kingdom of Aerey
Land of the forests. Aerey is covered almost completely in forest, ranging from the deciduous forests at the southern edge to the tropical rainforests of the north.
The elves are a race apart, and their northern kingdom tends to keep to itself. They have an excellent relationship with the halflings, including some halfling burgs in western Aerey. They have a more haughty relationship with the dwarves of the southern mountains. The most varied population in Aerey is in the capital of Dorei, where all of the races can be found.
While Dorei traditionally has a king or queen, most of Aerey is made up of independent communes and enclaves.

Dorei commands the military, which is supplemented by a militia from the various other settlements in times of need.

The thick forests of Aerey do not lend themselves well to farmland, and the elves rely primarily on the rich hunting and foraging opportunities the forests provide. Bees are one of the few commonly domesticated animals, and Aerey produces a wide variety of different honeys. Fruit is plentiful throughout.
The northern tropical forests are known for their mosses and various floral extracts, as well as many rare plants useful in magic rituals and spells. Many spices are found in this region. The southern forests contain a wide variety tubers and also various fungi, including several different kinds of truffles, prized culinary and magical mushrooms.
