Common Hybrids

Basic Information

Anatomy

Anatomically speaking they are similar to normal humans possessing an appearance and certain traits with the animal they were mixed. If they were mixed with a quadruped animal, they too will be able to walk on all fours, normally by having different leg structure and longer arms.

Genetics and Reproduction

Mammal, avian, reptilian and every hybrid overall can reproduce in their own original way, either it being by gestation method or laying eggs, thing is, they can only reproduce themselves like this if the two individuals involved belong to the same kind of hybrid, for example, a wolf hybrid can reproduce normally with another wolf hybrid but would not be able to do so with a tiger or an avian hybrid.   This all led to a long era of harsh measures made in order for the hybrids as a whole to survive, meaning that couples should always be of the same type or that in the cases of pairings of different types, both would be forced to procreate with other person of their own type in order to sustain the species.   Due to the basic need of survival, a machine was eventually created that allowed a couple of two different species to artificially reproduce a child of any given species with the DNA of both parents, meaning that a Lion hybrid and a Fox hybrid could have a blue bird and a otter child with both of them having certain strings of DNA from both their Lion and Fox parents that do not affect their appearance or behavior in any way.

Growth Rate & Stages

Their life stages are linked and function similar to those of a human, every transformation or change they might or might not experience aside from that of a human depends on the animal they were mixed with.

Ecology and Habitats

Then again, they inhabit the same places a human would live in with the difference that the animal they were mixed with determines if they should avoid or are better suited for certain weathers than others.   Some differences include those who have wings or those who have gills.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Normal human needs and habits with alterations depending on which animal they were mixed with.

Biological Cycle

Normal human cycle with alterations depending on which animal they were mixed with.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Depends on the country and sometimes, their species, this will be expanded upon in other specific articles.

Domestication

Even though they are capable of the same rational thinking the humans had, some species of Hybrids are biologically designed to be tamable, some feline, canine and small avian species are known to be able to be tamed and with enough patience they can be trained to obey their "Owners" without question even if they were not willing to do so at the start of the taming process.   While possible, this is normally seen as an unethical act and can even be prohibited by law in some areas.   On the other side, is a very common and ancient tradition that some mammal species get trained to wear collars since early childhood, most of them receive their own personalized collar on the fifth birthday and it normally accompanies the person through all their life, it is perfectly normal for adults and older people to still be wearing their childhood collars at all times, they can be brought to work, formal events, sports events and such, there are still a few exceptions of some professions and specific places where the use of collars is not allowed, public workers, the military and some certain areas prohibit them while at work hours.

Uses, Products & Exploitation

Even with the existence of hybrids, normal animals still exist and are more abundant that they were back when the humans were still around, most food sources still come from sources like cattle and such.   This, along the fact that unlike humans, they resemble the animal counterparts of some species they feed on, lead to the the development of a cannibalistic society, it can extend to the point that it became common for a hybrid belonging to a predator species to attack other hybrids, as they have a natural urge for hunting. While events like this tend to be legally punished, it is completely normal for dead people to be processed and distributed as a food source as long as the cause of their death did not relate to a disease or something that could harm in any way those who consume them.   Avians and some reptile species tend to produce and sell their eggs in mass but to a lesser extent than what a normal poultry would produce.   The meat and eggs of certain hybrid species like reindeer meat or dragon egg can get to cost a fortune, leading to some unfortunate incidents involving criminal activity.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

They all can be seen everywhere although some of them gather in small communities in certain weathers depending on their species, for example, a polar bear Hybrid can be seen living on a desert but they all tend to inhabit cold weathers.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Every Hybrid had been designed to be able to manipulate certain energies on their surroundings, giving birth to the so called "Magic" and its derivatives, they all were supposed to be designed to be able to fully use this energy manipulation at will but due the extinction of their creators, the humans, they remained incomplete and even though they all can manipulate energies, only around two percent of the population is able to use it to the extent of being recognized as capable of using magic.   Their sensory capabilities they are born with depend on the animal they are mixed with but can never be inferior to what a human being has.
Scientific Name
Homo Hybrid.
Origin/Ancestry
Mix between human and animal genes.
Lifespan
Mammals tend to have an average lifespan of 60 years, Avians 50 years, Amphibians, Aquatic species and Reptiles about 70 years.
Average Height
In Mammals and Reptiles it tends to depend on the species, Avians on the other hand, while their height also depends on their species, tend to be taller than the last two as they all have longer legs.
Average Weight
Depends on the species
Body Tint, Colouring and Marking
If a person is born through a reproduction machine and they already contain DNA from many different species their bodies tend to exhibit certain mutations, as in some mammals and reptiles can be born with wings, more limbs, even gills or have their fur color altered, showcasing an unnatural color like green and blue, this is why it is recommended to not reproduce via machine for more than three generations in a row, as in a fourth generation the resulting child can showcase some of this symptoms, if taken even further they might die as infants or be born with extreme mutations which would cause them to not be able to have a sane life.
