Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Tenebrae is thin and boney, and stands at about 6'3" tall. He's always well-groomed and presents himself formally, preferring to wear suits and similar formalwear.
Body Features
His skin is chalk-white, and his complexion is veiny as if his skin is thinner. His shape is almost emaciated looking, with visible ribs and prominent hips, part due to the preparations for Ascension wrecking havoc on his body. He has multiple scars from ritualistic symbolism and runes that he's carved into himself.
Facial Features
He has a gaunt face with sharp features, and a lines face denoting his age. His eyes are sharp and cold, and his beard is well-grooomed and carefully kept at the same length.

Personal history
Early Life
Tenebrae was born in The Church of Bliss, and had been a devout follower of the Noctifer ever since he was young. At first, he believed that the peace that the Noctifer could bring to the world was the only thing to strive for, but in his adulthood he began to believe that the Noctifer would never come. Nobody could simply be born with that power, it had to be made- cultivated, nurtured. He suggested to the Archpriest Abraham Malek that maybe, with time and patience, they could make [Tenebrae] into the Noctifer. The Archpriest scoffed, and said to Tenebrae that if just anyone could be the Noctifer, it would not be such a lowly member of the church. Tenebrae, humiliated, retreated to his chambers. He hatched a plan to kill the Archpriest, and assert himself as the new one once the elective process began.
Exile
Tenebrae succeeded in his plans to kill the Archpriest. A single drop of poison in his drink was all it took. After the mourning period, a new Archpriest was to be appointed, and Tenebrae vouched as best for himself as he could as a devout follower, but the Oracles instead chose Lucius Grey, a young man who was reserved and rarely spoke. Tenebrae was enraged. Archpriest Lucius Grey spoke with him, apologetic since he knew how much Tenebrae wanted the role. During that talk, it became clear to the Archpriest just how delusional and dangerous he had become, and he decided it would be for the best to Exile Tenebrae for his own safety, and the safety of the church.
During his Exile, Tenebrae unearthed one of the Books of Night, a book that supposedly held the ritual for Necromantic Ascension within. He decided he would use the instructions within to prepare himself, and become the Noctifer, replacing the Archpriest and bringing about the Amalgam. His goals were no longer that of world peace, but domination instead. When he left, he brought his Niece, Riu Forest, with him.
FIERCE
Tenebrae created FIERCE in 2012, setting up base in Haynes Industrial Estate. Knowing that many of the older Empowered in the community would never submit to his demands, he decided to target the younger, more impressionable and angry teenagers and young adults. He recruited the Misfits group first, which was easy enough since they were Riu's friends. More and more groups srifted to him, and eventually, The Demigods.
Book 2: Walking With Strangers
He held up a small device, one that could barely be seen in the darkness.In Walking With Strangers, Tenebrae Grimm is introduced. The Demigods first hear about him from some boys down the road, and they contact him over the phone. When they visit him, Tenebrae offers what he assumes the Demigods need most- money. When they're within his grip, he continues gifting them things, including a brand new car, hoping that it would make them feel indebted to him.

“I will. But I will be a martyr. My followers will continue my cause without me-”
The sound of a horn suddenly blared and interrupted his speech, a bright light flashing through the window. The shadows dissipated and retracted away from the beams, Esluna and Holly dropping to the floor with a thud. Tenebrae swivelled with an expression of rage, and the wall behind him exploded.
Behind the scenes, he's trying to orchastrate a plan to frame SunGod Corporation for the disappearance of a prominent and beloved figure in the Empowered community. The plan goes awry when Thorn Demise is seen by Eclipse Solar, and Tenebrae stations him instead as a spy in SunGod. He sets up a plan to kill Flashe, Doctor Moore, and the four Werewolves, and himself, under the assumption that when he would die, he would have a surge of power and absorb the life forces of those very powerful Empowered, and it would be enough to kickstart Ascension. It goes wrong, but the surge happens anyway, causing Sudden Supercharge Meltdown (consumption) instead. When Eclipse kills him again in this state, he's able to transfer his consciousness partially into Psychic, where he slowly absorbs his life force to power himself.
Book 3: Midnight
A dark, lanky figure broke through the encroaching darkness, his skeletal-thin body hunched, arms folded behind his back. The glassy eyes of Tenebrae Grimm were settled on his own, like a hunter about to pounce on cornered prey. His pencil-thin lips parted into a malicious grin as he stopped a few feet in front of Psychic. “I want… to finish what we started,” he wheezed.While Tenebrae is technically dead, in this book he haunts Psychic through hallucinations and nausea. He also lends Psychic partial use of his powers, since if Psychic dies, his Ascension won't complete. Ironically he needs Psychic to live so that he can, as well.
