Watch Effects

The device uses a Battery Cell B for power. It comes with the battery which can be recharged at the Barracks during a short rest. 
As a bonus action, you can make the watch glow. The watch sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. This can be used 3 times on one charged battery and the effect lasts for 1 hour per activation. The light can be turned off early with a bonus action, but still counts as a use.
Once per a day, the watch can be activated to generate one of the following effects:

Radiant Strike

You activate the watch as part of your attack action. Your next hit on a creature inflicts an extra 1d6 radiant damage. Additionally, you awaken a sense of boldness in those allies that are within line of sight of you, granting them an extra 1d6 radiant damage for the next hit on a creature.

Swiftness

You activate the watch with an action by holding it up and offering encouragement to one ally that see and hear you. This effect lasts 1 minute, requiring that you concentrate on the effect (you need to continue to offer the ally encouragement). Until the effect ends, the target’s speed is doubled, it gains a +2 bonus to AC, it has advantage on Dexterity saving throws, and it gains an additional action on each of its turns. That action can be used only to take the Attack (one weapon attack only), Dash, Disengage, Hide, or Use an Object action.

Radiant Bolt

You activate the watch as part of your attack action. A flash of light streaks toward a creature of your choice within 30 feet. Make a ranged attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 4d6 radiant damage. This requires a fully charged battery and cannot be used again until the battery has been recharged.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

This is a mundane watch that has no magical properties. Its abilities are a manifestation of inspiration granted by everything that the watch represents. The attack it can make is a battery powered laser that is activated by opening the watch face cover. They are made out of gold to symbolize the light of justice.

Significance

These watches have been made as a symbol for watchmen leadership. They inspire those who work with them as they are known to only be carried by those of infleunce and power.
