Ribbon of Faith

Once per a day, the ribbon can be activated with prayer and the burning of incense. Requires 1 minute to perform the ritual. As part of the ritual, the person offers a small sacrifice to the Maker by pricking a finger and dropping some of their blood onto the ribbon (costing them 1 hit point). After the ritual is completed, the ribbon's effect is activated. All food and drink within 10 feet is purified and rendered free of poison and disease. The user must have a minimium vigor score of 8 to activate the ribbon's ability.   These are always a single ribbon. They are made from the highest quality of fabric that is dyed gold with red trim. The ribbon has a gold clasp at the top for the user to hold it with.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

These ribbons are a magical items. However, the members of the church believe that it is their faith that manifests the effects of the ribbons rather then the Dark. it is believed that the ribbons allow a person to channel and focus the power of their faith. Thus, it is common for member of the Church of Hope to carry these ribbons with them where ever they go. They are always used while a person is praying to The Maker. Members of the church believe that the ribbon's ability to manifest it's effects is a testimony to the power of the holding individual's faith and the blessing of the Maker.

Significance

These ribbons are a symbol of faith. They are meant to represent the strips of DNA that the Maker acts upon to evoke change within the human body. They believe that taking up the ribbons is symbolicly taking charge of your own fate and declaring your will to godhood. They also represent an increased reputation and power within the church.
