Drosten
Drosten was one the largest and most powerful countries in the entire known world. Up until the last 100 years, it was entirely formed of smaller duchies that were mostly independant of the monarch's rule. However, in the year 1319, King Duras Forthwind officially formed the Drostenian Empire, declaring himself Emperor and formally united all the territories under a single banner. Since then, rule fell to Isaac Forthwind, who single-handedly change the face and perspective of the country in his reign.
Religion has been outlawed and worship of any Gods, Old or New, is punishable by law. The previous army and police forces have been transformed into the Fist Of The King, mostly made of mercenaries, thugs and bandits, who happily wave their authority around and brutalise anyone who dares oppose them. Isaac also formed a group known as the Undaunted - a group of magic users, obssessed with collecting magical artifacts, ancient relics and performing dangerous and powerful experiments.
During the Contagion War between Drosten and Shathen, Isaac was defeated by The Ragtags, alongside Nico Destinn and The Bannerstriders. Since then, the country has fallen from grace significantly, and the power vacuum left behind caused a lot of infighting, eventually splitting the country into various different states.Isloaham
