Creation of the Uni/Multiverse

The most learned scholars know that before there was the multiverse, there was nothing. But only the most powerful creatures in it know that before there was nothing, there were monsters. Uncountable scores, unknowable myriads, stuck in perpetual chaos and violence. And when two of those ancient creatures reached an unprecedented degree of power by devouring their kin, they fought and collided, and as they did, they fused together and exploded, creating the first split. With the great first split, the monsters were mostly killed. The remaining ones were flung to the edge of the newly created nothingness. Half stayed there and congealed into what is now the far realm. The other half was resolute to reclaim their ancestral home and traversed the infinity of the nothingness, only to discover that something had arisen inside it.   When the great first split had occurred, what had been, had split into an endless expanse of nothingness and the Eversphere, a one-dimensional culmination of infinite energy. This held on for one trillionth of a second, the point where the knowledge of the most learned scholars begins, though they know not of where the Eversphere and nothingness originated. In this one trillionth of a second, the Eversphere expanded violently into three dimensions, causing the second great split, when it divided into positive and negative energy. The violent release of energy also spewed forth a certain kind of exotic matter that gravitated around the new blobs of positive and negative energy that rapidly shifted into opposite phases, tearing and bending the exotic matter, until it stabilized into a spectrum of phases that gradually transformed into the inner planes. Only when the phase shift of positive and negative energy was completed, did they truly exist on different planes.   The third great split occurred, when the former Inhabitants of the now universe arrived after an infinite amount of time. The new planes were violent and powerful within themselves, but calm and contained by means of their opposites, forming a strong trans-planar structure. The monsters that had returned attempted to smash the inner planes, but instead spread plane-matter across the former nothingness that had now begun to be displaced by a wave of æther. Here it ignited said æther causing the third split into the astral plane, and blobs of space-time, where the four elemental types of matter formed into suns. Surprised by the power and beauty of the suns, some of the monsters, or old ones, descended into those material planes that seemed to be interconnected by space-time, and while some few began eating the suns to swell their power, others encased them in great crystal spheres, syphoning air, water, fire, and earth from the inner planes to create little pebbles to orbit them. When life began to develop on some of these pebbles, the more intelligent kind began worshipping the old one that created their sphere, and the old ones found power in that prostration, using their power to create more creatures, some of which themselves became worshipped by their peers, turning into proto-gods, endorsed by the old ones in order to form a retinue.   As the gods grew in power, they created their own homes outside of space and time, places to entice and threaten their followers with and to collect soul power: the outer planes. Some hail this to be the fourth split, though most scholars claim that a split is defined as a violent transformation of the universe rather than an act of creation.   Even to this day, the deathless old ones exist and draw power from their worlds. Example for such creatures usually are the ur-gods or god-fathers of a world, like the mighty creature Ao, creator of the Realm Space crystal sphere, or Yahweh of the Solar crystal sphere.
