Hijuro
"By the Hydro Lord's divine intervention, my parents became human. So I am now in his debt."Hijuro are the Spirits of the water and are often called Water Fairies. They live in Maridago but close enough to the Great Forest to explore when in their humanoid form. Like other Fairies, they dream of coming onto land, to feel what it is like to be human. Despite their general curiosity, Hijuro are still very powerful, with their powers directly linked to the ancient Hydro Dragon. In fact, almost everything involving the Hijuro can be linked back to the Hydro Dragon.
Anatomy
Hijuro can have two forms: a humanoid and an Oceanid form. Their Oceanid form resembles the body of a dragon, specifically, the Hydro Dragon, who is considered the "Prime Oceanid". The Hydro Dragon himself has webbed wings, fins and gills, like many sea animals. The Hijuro have similar features to the Dragon, the only difference being they are much smaller and weaker than the dragon. But Hijuro strongly dream of being human, too. In fact, it is often said that the will of the water is to be human. So in the past, the Hydro Dragon granted some Hijuro their wish of gaining an alternate humanoid form. They look a lot like regular humanoids, except they have blue skin and thin but flowing hair, like seaweed. Their hands and feet are webbed so they can swim efficiently in water, and their necks have slits. When they need to go into water as a humanoid, these slits open and function as gills. The Marida and Sonatla humanoids of the Underseas have forms very similar to the Hijuro's humanoid ones.
