King Aithne Draconis
King Aithne Draconis was the first ruler of the Draconis Empire. He became the king of Incendium after he and his family overthrew the Drosta Empire in 2637 DE. By overthrowing the Drosta Empire, Aithne returned Incendium to the Dragonborn, the original rulers of Incendium. Aithne was considered the most vital dragonborn anyone from Daledon had ever seen. He was both wise and strong. Aithne was a powerful Sorcerer who preferred to use magic over his sword. But was by no means a lousy swordsman. Aithne was of dragonborn decent and commanded a wise and powerful dragon named Karus. Aithne worshipped Odar and was a leader of the Followers of the Flame.
LEADER OF THE DALEDON ARMY
By 2680 DE, Aithne had brought the armies of Daledon together during the The Dragon War. He would command several critical battles during the first nine years of the war. At this time, he helped mentor Prince Argo Draconis and became rather fond of his grandson. He taught Argo a tremendous amount about the arcane arts and suggested Argo join the Arcane Society. Tragically on the tenth day of Odar during the year 2689 DE, Aithne and his dragon Karus were killed by Klauth during the Battle of Dragonport. Aithne and his dragon's body was recovered and sent back to Dragonfall where the Followers of the Flame held a ceromony for their beloved leader and king. He was buried alongside his dragon in the Temple of Odar. The lost of Aithne was felt around the world, after his death the citizens of Daledon realised just how serious the The Dragon War was, resulting in a sinificant increase in citizens joining the Daledon Army.HIS LEGACY LIVES ON
After his death, his son Amon had taken the crown. With this move, the citizens of Daledon realized that the Draconis Empire was, in fact, a powerful empire and not just a one-off approach. For better or for worse, the Draconis Empire was here to stay.
