Operating from the Great Gates of Helias, the 'desert vipers' carry out the will of the Guildmasters of the city, ensuring that prosperity and harmony reign throughout the city. As the Union employs the majority of their standing army, the Legion are crucial to maintaining order and keeping the ambitious merchants and profiteers of the City of Silk in line with the rules in which they have sworn to abide by.
This group are respected and somewhat feared, but few would be foolish enough to openly speak ill of the Vipers.
The Shimmering Legion are notorious for blending in with the mirage of the desert sands, appearing from thin air against unsuspecting foes. They are famed for their unparalleled ability to fight within the deserts of the Nissien Coast, however rarely operate outside of the region.
