The Great Gates of Helias

alvation from the harsh heat of the Keth desert is found when travellers get their first glimpse of the Great Gates - their journey has come to an end.
This huge arch stands at 100 ft. tall, its stone surface carved and painted in fantastical shades of blue and gold that catch the eye from miles away. For those travelling the inlands roads, the first signs of lush green tropical trees can be seen outside the gates, as the last oasis before Helias is located here.
Inside and around the structure lie the barracks of the Shimmering Legion, who guard the desert path to the City of Silks and ensure the correct toll is collected by those passing through.
