Tee-Niyan Pass

This perilous mountain crossing serves as the only widely-known route through the Lower Rhakhis mountains, which split the continent of Daënfel down the middle.
Tee-Niyan was one of Avlar's great generals, who carved out the mountain path on the back of hundreds of slaves, in an attempt to reach the Steppes unnoticed by enemy soldiers.
The pass was reclaimed and inhabited by ice-trolls and other abominations from the nearby Maw centuries ago, making it an incredibly dangerous route for travellers to take.
Merchants avoid the area completely, as any large group would be spotted and destroyed by the monsters that terrorize the passage. Some adventuring groups, however, claim to slip by Tee-Niyan's denizens in small, stealthy groups.
