Maerauko, the Terror from Below

Maerauko is the name given to the single-most terrifying creature to be seen in Daënfel.
Presumed to be the most vile of spawn to emerge from the Maw, stories of this huge creature stretch back as far as time is remembered.
Under the earth, it is said there are a great many caverns - The Depths Below - formed from the empty vessels of the Titan as its blood spilled out and became the sea. Within these caverns Maerauko is said to roam, emerging across Daënfel under the shadow of darkness and leaving nothing but death when first light appears over the horizon.
Few claim to have ever seen the beast - most reports being muddled with that of sightings of Giants amongst the Rhakhis Peaks, and thus the creature's existence is in doubt.
The Orcs of Daënfel, however, swear that the creature's existence is very real, and attribute a great event of their destruction to this beast. The mention of this creature's name is enough to make even the strongest of orcs tremble.
