Legate Amon'dir

Legate Amon'dir of the Dawn Guard is one of the most prolific soldiers of the Empire.
At a young age, he and his older sister Lo’ruel were embroiled in a very prominent bit of court drama that happened around two decades ago. A wealthy noble from Dol Gadmen had approached the pair - who were then junior members of the Empire military - at a ball held at Carrag Nuine.
The noble made untoward advances on his younger sister, at first dismissed as the ramblings of a drunk nobleman which later eventuated into a sinister attempt to abduct her outside the party during the late hours of the evening. Amon'dir did battle with the noble's thugs, drawing quite a crowd. He slew the underlings and wounded the noble, who succumbed to his infected wound in a sick bed days later. The noble courts of Dol Gadmen were in uproar at the murder, insisting that the siblings should be punished for their transgressions.
No one is quite sure why, but Emperor Davistan XIV pardoned the pair in a public and official decree.
Since then, both Amon'dir and his sister quickly rose through the ranks of the Dawn Guard, as notorious leaders of the shining legions.
