'Lightning Crashes'
Of all the Northmen stories told amongst the clans that live at the foot of the great Rhakhis Peaks, none is told as often as the ballad 'Lightning Crashes'.
All know that when the Maw opened following Avlar's conquest, monsters spawned and began to terrorise civlization as we know it.
Some old prophecies and stories of the Freemen tell of creatures that roamed the Earth even before that time - the Giants and the Dragons.
The ballad goes:
Upon the misty snow-clad peaks,
Where thunder roars and lightning speaks,
A giant stands with hammer high,
Against a dragon in the sky.
The storm it rages, wild and free,
As giants clash with destiny.
Scales of fire, a fearsome sight,
In winter’s grasp they wage their fight.
With each fierce blow, the heavens cry,
Lightning crashes from the sky.
A dance of power, raw and grand,
Behold the fury of this land.
The dragon roars, the giant sways,
Amidst the storm, the battle plays.
A clash of titans, fierce and bright,
Their legend echoes in the night.
Through snow and storm, their might is shown,
A tale of battles, etched in stone.
The giant’s strength, the dragon’s flame,
As lightning crashed, they earned their fame.
Where thunder roars and lightning speaks,
A giant stands with hammer high,
Against a dragon in the sky.
The storm it rages, wild and free,
As giants clash with destiny.
Scales of fire, a fearsome sight,
In winter’s grasp they wage their fight.
With each fierce blow, the heavens cry,
Lightning crashes from the sky.
A dance of power, raw and grand,
Behold the fury of this land.
The dragon roars, the giant sways,
Amidst the storm, the battle plays.

Their legend echoes in the night.
