"Raise the Swords! Raise the Swords!" the crowd yelled and screamed from the docks towards the castle, attempting to be heard through the Royal Overlook that the royals frequented. To the small group now offloading the ship, however, this was just a welcome distraction. Less faces to notice theirs as they walk the streets, looking for the best location to try and surround their quarry.

"We are the first?"

Rothsov turned, looking at the men with him. They were all battered, broken, most resembling the corpses they now were; a token of power granted to him by his patron.

"We are. He will follow soon, but the boats are slow, and she is not. They expect her here this day, if not tomorrow."

They moved through the crowd, their jeers and yelling broken by their chants. Guards stood by, ready to force them away if they continued their ways, but otherwise unharmed. It was their swords the crowd asked to raise.

"My thralls, search the city and return to me. Find the best places. Find the likely places. Remember that her vice is the drink. It is near there that we shall find her."

Without a single word, they departed, each in separate directions, each intended on finding a suitable place for both their master and their collective goal they had given their life for.
15th of Sowmeadow on the deck of the Skypaw. Embra spends the rest of her first day of downtime, working with Thomas to cut and peel potatoes properly, hoping to avoid it from "tasting like shit." His lack of knowledge in a proper galley didn't hold him back from Embra's excellent teaching. By the end of the day, he was able to make Scout Potatoes that was a meal much deserved after the rations and bar food that the party has been used to up to this point.   Ish Ma'el mans the wheel of the ship before locking it into an auto-pilot type position, maintaining the level of the ship and keeping the course locked. He takes time to teach Kal the different instruments which are used to keep the ship afloat. He then goes through the history books that he received earlier before checking the magic stick he had. Nothing particular comes of either.   Victalyassa spends some time in her room but gets bored quickly. She raids the galley, hoping to find a new ingredient for her homebrew. She finds various herbs and spices, albeit mundane, but eventually finds something more rare like nutmeg. While she is fermenting it, she can choose to thin it out without sacrifice, being able to produce 6 beers instead of 4 in a single brew, or she can increase the potency to have it heal for 2d6 temp hp. She chooses the health upgrade and know it can now increase social aspects to go with the eagle eye effect already laid in.   The party, sans Ish Ma'el, join Young Thomas in the galley for his meal at the end of the day. Ish Ma'els undeath turns food to ash, so the experience would be wasted on him. "I should have asked before agreeing to join, but where are we going and what are we doing?" begins Thomas.   Embra explains that the party is going on vacation and Ashara explains that Benira is the best location for such a time. Thomas tries to find the positive parts of the experience while Ashara yells to Ish Ma'el, "how far until one would hit the ground?!" The party has a laugh and Thomas eventually does too. After a fun dinner, the party members head to bed and enjoy a long rest.   The next morning, the air is cool and crisp over the massive Glitter Waves bay, which spans between Benira and Orvadah, that drains out to the larger Sallorick Ocean. As Ashara awakes, popping to 90 degrees as she does, she finds that her necrotic wings are out. A purple smoke begins to fume from them as the webbing between her dark raven feathers fall around her until they are only the single feather which she puts in her hair as she sighs for their loss. She can hear the familiar voice of her guardian: "LIke all gifts from Gavathrak, it is only a temporary pleasure." She waves the voice off.   Victalyassa makes her way to the rum barrel in the galley of the ship upon waking up in the morning. She takes her bucket of plentiful water and uses the warm water she produces to wash herself, enjoying the nice fresh air and coursing waves below.   From inside the ship, Ish Ma'el spends his morning navigating and reading the history books. Embra, however, begins to organize her equipment on her bed. In a similar interest in their equipment, Ashara looks over her Greataxe and FINALLY finds out that the rune on it is the Decay Rune. At her current level she now KNOWS the rune, but can only have 2 equipped in a long rest period. She jumps for joy as she grabs the handle of the Axe and runs out of her room, chucking the axe into the ocean below and exclaiming that she "Finally fucking knows the rune!" Vic looks on from the top deck and offers her some rum to cool down, but she refuses.   Suddenly, an alarm goes off (Kal making an AWOOGA noise) on the ship as Ish Ma'el calls: "Man your posts, fast mover coming in from the north!" Embra casually comes to the top deck to see a massive ship storming toward the Skypaw, storms and thunder in its wake. Ish Ma'el looks out the starboard window to recognize something particular about this ship. Ish Ma'el turns the entire ship a hard crank 90 degrees to turn towards the larger ship. The party all manage to keep themselves braced on the top deck as the ship violently turns. He begins to yell commands to drop bombs and fire the ballista.   "We have bombs?!" yells Vic.   "I think I slept through that part of the lecture!" exclaims Ashara.   "What is a ballista?!" yells Embra.   Six ballistas on the enemy ship turn toward the Skypaw as people can be seen looking at the skiff. Ish Ma'els voice comes over the ship: "Pulling a maneuver from the Battle of Tinaff, we are going over the top of the ship to drop bombs and then will be going straight vertical, hoping they'll lose us in the sun."   Ashara runs to the ballista she was practicing on the day before as Vic gets to work on pulling the barrels from the lower deck (most are empty but some are filled with alcohol and uncooked foods). She is able to grab two of the empty barrels up to the top. Embra follows suit as Ish Ma'el declares, "fire at the engines on the starboard side." Through the display on the navigation room, he zooms in to see Captain Vak standing in his control room, smiling down at the Skypaw with a maniacal look in his eyes. Ish Ma'el grinds his teeth in rage, keeping his ship on a steady course toward the top of the massive ship.   A crewman from the other ship fires a bolt at the small Skypaw, but obviously misses wide. As the Skypaw gets closer to the massive ship, another crewman and two sharpshooters fire down at Vic who is standing proudly on the top teck preparing her barrels for a "bombing" run. Embra fires her first ballista that shatters into the metallic side of the ship, a good hit but not strong enough to pierce. Ashara also fires at the ship, seeing it strike into the wooden portion of the side of the ship.   Captain Vak spins his finger in the air and points to the side. All 6 ballistas on the "Heaven Be Damned" (the ship name now apparent to the party) fire on the Skypaw as Ish Ma'el makes rapid maneuvers to evade. The bolts fly each way but direct at the ship thanks to his quick maneuvers, only one of the three destined for the ship scrapes the side. Three more bolts head toward each party member on the top deck, the first missing Embra and Second missing Ashara, but the third flies direct to Vic. She makes a quick maneuver with her Ki speed, but it rips through her side as she screams in pain!   Young Thomas runs up to the top deck, "Oh my god, it's so big!" he yells, seeing the Heaven Be Damned. Vic reaches into her bag, grabbing the oil flask within, yelling to Thomas to run back down the stairs to bring another alcohol barrel up to her, before finding safety. He sees the blood going down her side and heeds her command and her warning.   The Skypaw is now within 40 feet of the Heaven Be Damned as Ish Ma'el brings his ship up, aiming to go over the massive enemy. He can see two desk which have the four individuals which are firing down at the Skypaw, with the rest of the deck windows sealed shut. On top of the ship, he can see about a dozen other crew members running about. He knows that the inside of the ship can hold about 40 crew members within running it, but Captain Vak would probably have his own team of marines which could attack a land target if needed.   The attacking crew fires down at the party, missing Vic, but coming in contact with Ashara. The shot flies toward her and in a flinch reaction, she comes in contact with the shaft of the arrow, and it shatters in front of her, enough to be annoying but not cause her true damage; as if she had some type of momentary temporary resistance that nearly lost all of its power. Embra fires another bolt from her ballista into the side of the Heaven Be Damned, doing heavy damage to the side. Ashara follows suit but skidding across the side of the ship as the Skypaw banks up.   Captain Vak smiles, excited that the little ship is putting up a fight, but realizes the maneuver the Skypaw is doing. He pulls the Heaven Be Damned upward, attempting to collide with the little ship. On the Skypaw, Victalyassa douses one of her barrels with the oil and leans back toward Ashara, "can you light this?!" she yells.   "Yes!" exclaims Ashara, "Hold it up, and I'll fire on it!"   Vic grabs the barrel and holds it above her head. Just as she does the ship goes completely vertical, without regard. She quickly jumps as the ship is moving quickly up, gripping the barrel and clipping it to the top of the ships point. She holds on for dear life, screaming expletives at Ish Ma'el in the wind. Embra and Ashara are strapped into their seats on the ballista, and cling to consciousness as they are thrown in the seat. Ish Ma'el continues to hold the wheel as the ship turns upward, himself hanging by his arms. Young Thomas is crippled in the cargo bay as loose debris crushes his legs underneath. He reaches and turns off the ship's engines as the balloon which holds them up takes over.   The ship returns to horizontal high above the Heaven Be Damned as the balloon catches the wind. Victalyassa muscles the oil barrel back up on the deck and stands up once more, ready for Ashara to fire it, so she can drop it. The pattering of arrows can be heard under the hull of the Skypaw as the crew of the Heaven Be Damned fire up at them. Embra throws her grappling hook at the railing of the ship, telling Vic to grab onto it if Ish Ma'el sends her flying again. Ashara takes aim with her scorching rays as she gains control of her dizziness, firing them at the side of Vic's barrel, igniting them. Vic feels the heat and lets the barrel burn for a big before throwing it down, inflaming one of the ropes on the top deck of the Heaven Be Damned. She then runs back and grabs the rope of the grappling hook.   Ish Ma'el grabs Kal and runs out the door. He yells at everyone to "Unbuckle and get ready" as he fires his lightning bolt as a full spell up at the balloon and quickens the feather fall affecting all the members on the top deck.
The content from this point forward is no longer canon. Due to decisions made by the group, consider everything below to be hypothetical.
The lightning crackles over the balloon as flames spread and the balloon pops. His other hand ripples across the area, sending a wave over the party. Embra luckily was barely buckled in as it undoes itself, and she begins to float away. Ashara, despite lifting up, is unable to unbuckle the seat belt in the small amount of time. Ashara feels the damage from the impact which doesn't immediately kill her, but the ballista crushes in around her for more damage. Thomas down in the cargo bay was able to maneuver himself into the kitchen before the ship crashed, crushing him into nothing as the ship erupts.   In rapid succession, Embra is midway in the air watching as only 20 feet below Ashara is being crushed by the weight of the ballista below her. Embra quickly casts mage hand and send it down to Ashara, unbuckling her seatbelt but cannot pull her up. As Ashara is falling down, after getting unbuckled she sees her Angelic guardian manifest around her, pressing around the wood of the ship as it is closing down around her, and she says: "Live Ashara Live." Her guardians form begins to fade away as Ashara hears from above, "You're going to die that easy after letting me die!" from Ish Ma'el.   "I'm going to KILL YOU!" she screams up in the air and lifts into the air kicking and punching the debris up and out of the fallen ship, with a mighty rage and vengeance to reach Ish Ma'el. She makes it out of the crashing debris and is airborne as the Heaven Be Damned continues forward. The party feather falls down as Victalyassa moves to Ish Ma'el and strikes him in the face, the recently burned side of his face. She is fully enraged and screams in his face, "What the fuck was that?!"   "Did you have a better idea to escape a leviathan?" he exclaims.   "Falling into the middle of the ocean is not a plan!"   Embra feels anger, frustration, and a bit of sadness knowing that Thomas had perished in the ship. She stays quiet among the rushing wind, contemplating that this moment is probably her death, hearing the screaming voice of Ashara rising up in the air. With Victalyassa holds Ish Ma'el in place as Ashara shoots up like a dart behind them, slicing into Ish Ma'els back and erupting her chains out of his wound and gripping him tight. Ish Ma'el is knocked unconscious from the blow. Vic angrily screams to Ashara to stop as she is heading down the chain to kill Ish Ma'el. "We don't know if the feather fall will last all the way down if he dies now!" she grinds through her teeth.   For a moment, Ashara sees her guardian begin to form in front of her, between her and Ish Ma'el. She has an anger in her eye and as she opens her mouth to say something her form rips into two pieces. In its place, a light, similar to that which reflects off the ocean or a glass, burns Asharas eyes for a moment.   "He's misguided, he's lost. He is not himself, but he is your friend. Remember tortluga. Remember that time he held you in the flames. Remember the sacrifices her made." a voice says, sounding like that of Baum.   The glare shifts away.   Embra is watching, focusing back to the now and wiping her eyes as the wind is coming around them. "This is shit!" she yells. Just anger.   Ashara makes it down to Ish Ma'el, grabbing him by the lapel with her arm around his neck. She places her other hand on his heart, feeling his heart still beating, similar to that situation in the temple. This time, she sends her Healing Hands energy forward and sends it into Ish Ma'els chest cavity. As Ish Ma'el's eyes opened to see the light, she angrily whispered in his ear: "you better save us from this you bastard!"
