Mutticon

The Mutticon is a quadrupedal cybertronic creature that tends to stay in herds of five to twenty. When a large herd meets a smaller one for no apparent reason they mingle and even out their numbers and separate. They generally eat the CyberMatter of the planet but seem to seek out the Energizer Machine plants.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Mutticon's body is barrel-shaped and between two and three meter's long. Supported by six thick legs that end with a foot that ends in twelve or more downward-facing claws to grip uneven surfaces. Their head has a short snout with only a pair of sheering teeth near the front that generate a light green acid to cut the metals they eat, but no other teeth. They have four eyes two above the snout facing down and another set facing to the sides they used to find more loose metals. They have no audio sensors in their head and their sense of smell seems to be apart of their snout.

Genetics and Reproduction

From observations, two Mutticon will mate when their herd population dips below five and there are no other herds within visual distance to keep their numbers up. The two Mutticon that is to mate bed down together while the rest of the herd surround them protectively. Their Cyber-Weave seems to grow together and a day later the two will stand up tearing themselves free of the no cocoon of Cyber-Weave. Two hours later the weave will shudder and turn gray and an infant Mutticon will emerge from the cocoon.

Growth Rate & Stages

There seems to be three stages of Mutticon life. Infant in which they do no produce Cyber-Weave but instead use the material they consume to grow their body. Adult stage where they produce a small amount of Cyber-Weave but are more likely to move without a herd or spontanously leave theirs to join a nearby one without the two herds temporarily combining. Final the Producer stage in which the Mutticon will spend the every moment it can consuming Cybermater to produce vast quanities of Cyber-Weave .

Ecology and Habitats

Mutticon roam over the majority of the wilds of Cybertron, the only place they don't go is into the Rust Sea or underground.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Mutticon's primary diet is simple metals of Cybertron, however, they especially delight in the metals and energy cells produced by the Energizer Machine.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Mutticon are completely deaf. But the majority of the surface of their snout is sensor organs. Their primary eyes face forward along their snout, their secondary eyes seem to be less powerful or possibly non-functional.
