Mahadi
The party came across Mahadi in the Svalich Woods when he was under attack by a creature of fog and darkness. Verthica would fall to the creature, but Mahadi offered a deal. For the low price of a single soul, he could bring Verthica back to life. However they had to decide quickly or the price would go up.
The party decided not to save Verthica, but Mahadi could not let his new friends go unrewarded. Mahadi summoned a magical tent, within which was a cornucopia of magical items, potions, and weapons. Offering the party their choice of a +1 Battleaxe, an Alchemy Jug, Boots of Elvenkind, or Bracers of Defense, the party chose the battleaxe for Garlic Masher. Wignog Smieddwager would also make a deal of gold for enough magical ink and parchment to copy down the spells from the spellbook Vengeance's patron was holding onto. Mahadi said that he would head for Vallaki in an attempt to make some deals there, but left the party some final words. "If you ever find yourself with an overabundance of riches or facing overly dangerous perils, just call on Mahadi. I will show you my finest stock."
