Chevalog

Description

As the final metamorphosis of a common militia cryture, Chevalogs are prized companions to the most elite military conjurers, who often notch their bodies with kill counts, and paint their armor with symbols of their affiliations. Without the benefits of the conjurer's bond, raising a Squmper to this level is very costly and difficult, so the only non-conjurers who may own a Chevalog would be those with enough resources to buy one from a conjurer, namely exceptionally wealthy merchants or business owners. In such cases, they make highly effective guards for caravans or establishments.

Combat

Chevalogs are very powerful melee combatants, both offensively and defensively. While protecting their owner is their primary concern, they tend to fight more aggressively than their younger forms, preferring to eliminate threats quickly, rather than soak up damage. Savvy conjurers often use their Chevalogs fully offensively, and have them charge the foe's back line, letting their exceptionally high deflection ward off opportunity attacks.
