Healer's Hearth

The Healer's Hearth is one of the oldest hospitals in the holy Dragon City. It is a massive complex designed to house any, from the most ancient of wyrms down to their much smallest humanoid allies. Hundreds to thousands of humanoids of varying sizes run the day to day hustle and bustle its operation requires. Its administrative duties are often handled by older dragons who wish to aid in operation, but do to size or personality, are unable to act effectively inside most areas made for the smaller humanoid workers. While rarely needed, it host's its own small security for replete with its own on sight facilities such as barracks and an armory.   Healer's Hearth is a truly massive complex that extends above and below ground. Below ground it houses the factory systems it needs to be as self sufficient as possible. This includes but is not limited to: food, linens, medicine, medicals tools and equipment, There are multiple private staff suites and common areas for those who wish or need it. Many have been born, worked their careers and eventually died within its ancient and venerated halls.   Marked Lord Medicus serves as the steward of the Healer's Hearth. Though not the most amicable, the lord has found success in improving efficiency throughout the complex in ways that helped the hospital and its staff. Slowly and steadily the process of renovation has been overseen and in part planned by the Lord Medicus. Sterilization, isolation of infectious patients, supply paths, patient transport, research and development, and much more factor into it. while it is perhaps the most advanced hospital on Vreos, it is very close to being a small fortress city in its own right.   The Healer's Hearth has seen millions of patients, and because of its age has had a sorted past. Over the years, millions have been born and died within its walls. On occasion an undead or worse has manifested within its venerated halls or gone mad from sickness and pain.  on several occasions cultists had infiltrated and summoned something foul to stalk the halls of prey. Though many heroes lived and died in the Hearth Guard, it has never been found wanting.
