Chariot System

Erisa looked up at the Chariot in awe. I am going to watch her this whole trip as this was my favorite when I was a little girl as well. This Chariot was shaped like an orange beetle. She was laughing as she was strapped into the Trellis Belt and gave me a great big smile. We were slowly lifted in the air with our feet hanging down. She grabbed at the wall trying to climb higher than the other kids. Some slipped and squealed as they swung on their belt. Erisa kept climbing, I decided to race after her. I think I surprised her and her face became more determined. She did beat, but barely...glad to know I can still climb like that.
At the top, she gave a huge hug and pulled me in line. She obviously wanted to ride on the top. We were hooked in and ready to go... She screamed again as the giant beetle pulled away from the ramp and we were floating over the buildings below. Her hair was flying everywhere and she gripped me as the beetle swung in a loop.
Our trip had just begun, but I already had plenty of amazing memories.

Chariots

The Entertainment Strata is the most exciting place in all of Crevice. The shear number of things to do can be overwhelming for visitors. Even traveling through the Cavern can be exciting. The Chariot system goes all around the Cavern and has stops and popular and some unpopular places. The tracks wrap around the ceiling of the cavern and twist and turn around each other. This creates an amazing experience for both the riders and those on the ground watching them fly by. Each chariot is unique and some are created by the different guilds and businesses as a form of advertisement. Many are in the shape of animals and creatures that surround Crevice or live in the Lifestone Forest.

Necessary, but Fun

The area around the Beacon of Soul and the circus expanded very quickly, but lacked organization. The streets twits and turn throughout the Cavern. Discussions about altering the streets soon changed to creating a transportation system that would make it easier to travel. They also wanted it to be fun. So they created the Chariot system. Businesses usually get together to fund the creation of a new stop as they are expensive to build, but can boost profits significantly.

The Tracks

The tracks are continuously built and expanded. They appear to be in complete chaos, but the Track guild seems to keep them all in order. Instead of the ceiling being covered in the Rainbow Fungus, they covered the tracks. This created a mesmerizing effect as those below watch as the Chariots twist and turn in the glow. Even the stops have fun built into them. Most have a Trellis Belt wrapped around them and they are hoisted up. There is a wall close by for those that want to clamber up the wall as the belt protects them from falling.

Price

The Chariot system is pretty inexpensive and most people will buy a pass that will last the whole month.

Length

The Chariots vary in size, but most range 20-40 ft long.

Speed

The speeds vary depending on the destination and the design. Some are designed to move very quickly, while others will move just a little faster than walking people.
